So for example a Water/Dragon would no longer be weak to Grass, Fire/Dragon no longer weak to Water and Grass/Dragon no longer weak to Fire. So you can see why a Water/Dragon is not gonna happen because it would overpower one starter over the other two. This is why Charizard and Sceptile did not receive the dragon typing yet look like dragons, they did however get the Dragon typing with their mega evolutions. There was one case where this happened, with Empoleon in 4th gen. Piplup's final evolution is Water/Steel, which makes grass attacks neutral. But then, to keep the weakness triangle, they gave Tirtwig's final evolution Grass/Ground, which coincidentally allowed it to have STAB attacks that were strong against the other two starters. Maybe they could give one of the starter's a Dragon typing and offset it by giving their opposing starter something to keep the triangle in tact. It is not final art yet.
