ARTPOP and the artRAVE

I realised that I was a Gaga stan watching this for the first time a few years ago. I was going through a hard time in my life and felt misunderstood. Every artist that I liked was dead (Michael Jackson, Prince), and I just wanted to find an artist that was able to reach me like they could. This era, the album, the costumes, the interviews and the show will always be remembered in a great way by me. I don't care what anybody says about ARTPOP and the era as a whole, it made me realise that it's ok to be different. The era will always be amazing.

2014 should technically be one of the shittiest years of my life if I think about it but I remember it as the best one, thanks to ARTPOP. That's how influential an album can be to someone and how music can change people's lives.

I understand exactly what you're talking about, that era and the whole concept behind it did save me too and added so much joy in my life.

Spoiler

I remember singing Venus everyday at school until my classmates bought me the ticket to the artRAVE as a birthday present. Best day of my life followed by the show itself.

In person, the BTW Ball was my ultimate fave but artRAVE was amazing too. All of her shows have been amazing. One thing about artRAVE is how it was exactly the opposite of the BTW Ball. BtW was dark, industrial, etc whereas artRAVE was bright and colorful. Best of both worlds.

She sang the hell out of this!!

I've seen Gaga live 16 times, and I don't think any show has been as memorable as the artRave. I had so many friends around the country that era just from the online fanbase that every show felt like a community experience, not just a Lady Gaga concert. Plus THAT STAGE.

misunderstood

ARTPOP will forever be amazing in my eyes. It's like a misunderstood black sheep to me which is why I always sympathize & relate to the album, era, and Gaga at that time.

The ARTPOP Era will forever be engraved within my identity. It has influenced me so much in many ways. The way it's inspired me with it's music, performances, visuals, fashion and concepts have become a part of me.

I aspire to become a Fine Artist and I bring ARTPOP with me in my journey towards my future.

Omfg yes! ARTPOP was was one hell of an Era. It was wild, wacky, crazy, creative, served endless visuals, the music was psychedelic, the tour was like a big artsy fartsy, creative and wild party and the concept was intriguing. Literally one of the best Eras by a pop girl, even if ARTPOP didn’t do the best in sales and on the charts. And as writer and art lover, it inspired me in my work a lot!

It’s my fav Gaga Era besides BTW! :hor:
