is that just an old rumor or smth lmao like I stg it's been discussed multiple times in Charts Discussions threads. From what I recall ekeke if a song is on TTH, because they're getting that exposure Spotify will take the revenue themselves.

not necessarily. Stations do this willingly due to demand. She won the Oscar, so it's very possible they will do it on their own now that song is valuable to them now. Sad to say that, but it's true for tasteless radio DJs

The same thing happened with MR, though. Out of nowhere KIIS added it to power. I don't think money is involved. Interscope/record labels probably promise some radio station an exclusive premiere of a song and that's how they corroborate.

It is correct. In exchange for being on TTH, label give up any royalities to Spotify for as long as the song is on the playlist. The conditions of the contract leaked two years ago.

It would make sense for them to take part of it, but if the rumor is 100%, I don't believe that. Artists would rather take their chances with no play-listing then lose all their money. That's just how i see it.

This is incorrect.

I work in one of the majors, that’s not how things work. There’s no such thing as “payola”, “keeping the revenue”, etc.

if a project seems interesting for the platform, they’ll add it to their playlist. A good incentive is if the artist communicates to that platform. It’s just negotiation/business. 

The labels would never give the platforms that power, after all, the platforms are the labels clients not the other way around.
