This kinda stuff is partly what put me off becoming a famous singer. I feel like I wouldn't be able to truly express myself in my music or words because I'd constantly be worried about my family (not just parents) seeing and hearing everything I do. I've been raised in a way that looks down upon me swearing. My family has never heard me swear, so if I made songs where I was cursing like a sailor or swore in an interview, they'd be shocked and I'd feel embarrassed to be outed like that. And as for posing half naked or naked, raunchy music videos? My mum would be appalled. It doesn't matter how old I am, I'll always be my parent's little girl and among wider family, always the baby of the family. Hence, I'm perceived as sweet and innocent and to be protected, whether that's actually accurate or not. I mean, I wish they were more perceptive and realise that if someone wasn't locked in their room with no tv or internet their entire lives, chances are, they won't be super innocent and adults should make their own choices without judgement, but at the end of the day, it's a natural way for parents to be. You have to realise that word will spread among your parents inner circle and neighbourhood when their child becomes famous. Now, if that child does something sexual, shocking or illegal, it will reverberate on the parents. They might get laughed at and get abuse shouted at them in the street. And it makes them turn on their parenting instinct and call out their child, no matter how old they may be and essentially tell them to stop bringing shame on the family.

I feel for Bebe with her dad telling this but ultimately, she's choosing to publicly share it to get attention and I've never seen an overshare of this stuff from a celebrity. She just seems to crave attention right now and likely wants to promote her new music video (which is also very raunchy, most likely fuelling  her dad's outrage). She puts raunchy stuff out there for a reason and shouldn't be surprised when she gets the shocked reaction that she was looking for.

SWERF is a very dehumanising term to use and notice how this seems to be the face of modern feminism? Only supporting women who are extreme liberals and support sex work? It's very sinister. Feminism is about supporting all kinds of women, not just the ones who support your beliefs. In any case, I don't wish any harm towards sex workers (I don't like the term, but it covers the entire sex industry, so I'm just being general) but I speak against their work because I care about their wellbeing and what them to make informed choices to lead better lives since I've seen too many women who have suffered in this industry and wish to dispel the myths about it. The plain fact is that you can be oppressed without realising it. The person who gives you the money has all the power and there's no other way to twist it. Working in a mainstream job for a living is not selling your body, you're selling your skills. False equivalency.

And while it wasn't directed at me, I don't think what Gaga does is the worst, although I don't always approve of how far she took nudity at times. She isn't defined by her sexuality, which I can appreciate. When sexuality takes over your whole existence to the point where you make it your job, that's when your life gets more dangerous and your physical health and self-esteem can suffer. There's nothing admirable about that nor is it something to be encouraged.

I find it odd that you can talk freely about non-British culture like you know all about it yet you over-analysed me talking about Sweden a few times and acted like I was no authority to talk about it because I wasn't Swedish. For the record, anyone with a famous child in any region, conservative or not, would experience the locals gossiping about it, it's just what people do. It doesn't happen any more or less in the Balkans than anywhere else in the world.

And you were bringing up Sweden, many times like every Trump supporter does, to talk trash about immigration, nothing else. I never said you are not allowed to talk about it because you are not Swedish, those are lies. I said you’ve never been there, you have no way to verify for yourself; you get all your info from fr media who literally hate immigrants and who have history of writing racist things. You ignored what Swedish officials said and twisted it for your agenda. Unlike you I have visited Sweden many times in my life, my close relatives live there since the 70s, I know about the cities you read about. I NOW LIVE FOR OVER 15 YEARS IN A NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY whose 2nd official language is Swedish. So excuse me for calling out your bias and ignorance when you just copy paste things from far right websites.

Admittedly, I did wonder after I initially posted if you originated from this region but by the time I'd realised that, it was already done and dusted and I wasn't online the next day and you hadn't replied, so I moved on. And I'm sure I once saw you post that you lived in the UK, though I'm hardly going to go through all your posts to find this. It wasn't an assumption, I could've sworn I saw you post this.

For the last time, I am not a Trump supporter, nor am I far right, I'm not even conservative. And I knew about the situation in Sweden long before Trump ever brought it up. You once asked me what right I had to talk about anything in Sweden and asked if I lived there, as if I needed to be Swedish or have travelled there to have any kind of authority on the matter, even though I was merely exercising my right to free speech to talk about anything I wanted. You also posted a list of every time I'd ever mentioned the term Sweden or Swedish (I assume you must have typed StrawberryBlond Sweden" into the search function) and posted a link to every thread where I'd ever mentioned the country, even if it was totally irrelevant to anything to do with politics. You were acting ridiculously and I remember it well. I don't get all my information from far right media, that is YOUR assumption and another attempt to smear me with lies. A country's officials always lie and say the situation isn't as bad as it is, that's their job. I actually sussed out stories from actual Swedish women who had been attacked or are living in fear and looked at reports on the ground as opposed to the politicians in their ivory towers who want us to pretend everything's fine. If anything, I'd say that was a highly LIBERAL way to go about things, which is what I am. Well, you must have visited the safer parts of Sweden because the parts I saw from images there and the stories spoken of from the locals were very different.

Of course people from different regions won't always understand the Balkans, but I'm just pointing out that a negative reaction from your town to your famous child's behaviour is not just the preserve of a conservative area.

I didn't want to derail the thread and reply to you but I just couldn't resist what I saw as double standards and wanted to call them out. I've been told you ignore you as well but I won't as I like to see when people are talking about me.

But if you want an apology, you might be surprised to find I can give you one. I'm sorry that I said you were from the UK (although I could've sworn you said this before, it wasn't assumed) and assumed your national identity. If I'd known otherwise, I wouldn't have said what I did. But if anyone should be demanding an apology, it's me, for calling me a far right, Trump supporting racist (none of which is true and is all assumption), in an attempt to destroy my reputation on this site.
