It's just that Shallow is being treated like a typical country song so pop radio isn't willing to play it. And most points on the Hot 100 comes from radio, so... It's a big hit in Canada as well. Heck, it's actually a big hit everywhere. It isn't charting as high on US streams tho as it has been WW... In Canada it has charted better on streams but still below World ranking Radio totally boycotted it in North America The only aspect it has done super well in is sales and that isn't as relevant as it once was since only a small fraction of people still access music that way Don't get me wrong, it's still a decent hit in North America... But it doesn't compare to how it's smashing in so much of the world It's a bit of a switch from the usual. Usually she charts better in North America

Bloody hooker 6,445
Based on my analysis of listening to BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM for the past month, Europeans have taste. Us Americans have little to no taste. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
Chris Evans 8,904
no radio airplay = less streams = lower chart positions still a MONSTER hit in the U.S. but Billboard doesn't reflect that because of their algorithm

KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
@Economy Portugal hasn't updated their chart in 2 weeks. I think your looking at a different chart since Portugal's Official Singles Chart Company is with AFP. 2 weeks ago, Shallow was at #2! https://portuguesecharts.com/showitem.asp?interpret=Lady+Gaga+%26+Bradley+Cooper&titel=Shallow&cat=s
