Welcome to Create A Label - Era 2

What Is Create A Label?
Create A Label is a record industry game where players start their own/take over a record label, sign artists and battle to reach the top of the music charts, players can sign already existing artists/imaginary artists, release music and promote it to reach the top of the charts

How does it work?
Create A Label starts off with players choosing their record label, this can be an already existing label or a new one, to start playing, each player must sign at least one artist, they can sign more. Their first artist is free, each artist signed after is $75,000. They can then choose to release music for that artist and promote it, this can be social media promotion, TV/Radio promotion or tours. The charts are posted once a week, this will reflect promotion done by the player.

Information
Each record label starts off with $1 Million, money is earnt through sales and ticket sales.

to release a single it costs $10,000, an album/EP $100,000, artists are only allowed to release a maximum of 2 singles and 1 album/EP a week, artists don't have to release this much every week, it is up to each players choice. This is to stop spam releases and allow every player a fair chance to promote their artists. This is for each artist not label, so a label can have 2 or more artists release a single or album in the one week.

TV and radio promotion opportunities will be made available in the thread each week, the impact of each promotional appearance will reflect in the prices, these have to be reserved, don't worry, there will be opportunities for every player to have a promotional slot each week. Each continent will have promotional opportunities, remember, main music markets are USA and Europe, however there will be promotional opportunities in other continents, it is important for artists to build their reputation in each continent as our charts represent the global sales, if an artist had a strong reputation in Asia, but a low reputation in US, there is a chance of lower sales.

10,000 Sales = $3,000, if an artist sold 200,000 copies of an album/single, this would be divided by 10,000, then multiplied by 3,000, giving the label $60,000, each labels budget will be updated along with the charts every week.

Charts will be posted every Monday, so the best day to release new music is Monday.

There will be special events each week that labels can claim spots, these are first come first serve. 

Is the game time consuming?
No, the game is not time consuming anymore, this is helped with the use of AI, players used to drop out of the game as it was time consuming to write articles, however with the use of AI, this helps labels focus on promoting their artist while still having to manage a budget, this allows players to be strategic on how to promote.
