Glamourpuss 29,062
I stopped watching mid way through Matt Smith's turn as the doctor. But I'll participate as I loved Doctor Who when it was at it's best and I looked forward to it every week. Favourite doctor - David Tennant Companion - Donna Noble (and her grandad). Season - Season 4 Episode - Blink Quote - People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff. Do you also like Torchwood?
Celloo Deng 55,074
I'm a David Tennant / Billie Piper whovian! Nothing has topped season 2 for me, but I'm really enjoying Jodie as the doctor so far And my favourite episodes are Doomsday, Blink & The God Complex she/her 👹🖤 | Vanish Into You 🎶 HMHAS 🎶
theARTVampire 3,691
Oh yes, me!! Doctor: Matt Smith Season: 4/5 Companion: Donna and Rose Episode: Blink Quote: "Trust me, I'm the Doctor"
youandi 2,110
I despise that word but yes I love Doctor Who. Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi are my favourites, I normally reason it with 11 being my personal favourite but with 12 being the better Doctor but it changes for me all the time. I pretty much love all the companions but if I had to choose, it'd maybe be Amy and Rory as a pair. Probably Series 5 Heaven Sent or Human Nature/Family of Blood or Day Of The Doctor or The Doctor's Wife or Vincent and The Doctor or Pyramids Of Mars but its impossible to choose What do you think of Series 11? You should watch it. There are some thought provoking episodes. In some ways I thought it was better than Doctor Who. I especially liked when they changed the format and started doing a big plot for each season rather than a new story each week. Children of the Earth was absolutely amazing. I really recommend it. Series 11 had some good episodes: the pilot/ rosa/ the factory one and the finale but the rest was pretty boring. Arachnids in the UK i loved until the ending where the doctor argued that the spider deserved to suffer than rather being shot and having a less painful deaf. WTF Jodie Whitaker was by far my least favourite doctor tho the doctor has always been an SJW so im not gonna be like everyone on Reddit and call her out on it. She did have some good acting moments. The writing was ****. I really loved Bradley Walsh in it and the cinemaphotography was amazing. Opening title was really disappointing - the earlier titles i LOVE cos it gets you so hyped for the episode- this felt very average I could say this series ruined a good show but to be honest Doctor Who was never a good show apart from some indeniably great stand alone episodes that was missing from series 11. This show i just love with a passion cos im a big fcking nerd. Whoops sorry for the essay but there you go i guess
Eros92 2,513
Doctor: Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) Season: 9 (and 11) Companion: Clara Oswald (& Lucie Miller) Episode: World Enough and Time Quote: "Say Something Nice..." - Missy While also loving the show I love ALL the stuff Big Finish is putting out (hence my love for 8) and recently the River Song and Missy audio they have been putting out has been fantastic. Whoops sorry for the essay but there you go i guess Hmmm I'd disagree about it never having been a good show, I think it's always been good but has its meh moments. I have similar-ish opinions on series 11 though. I wanted it to be so good and I think Jodie Whittaker is a great actress and could be a great Doctor but I do think the stories have been sub par, bar Rosa, Demons Of The Punjab, Kerblam and It Takes You Away (I thought the finale was trash sadly) and the scripting has been kinda patchy too. I think the saddest part is the lack of character and plot development. The Doctor basically remains the same throughout and doesn't seem to grow, the whole joke every episode about knowing a famous historical figure got boring quick and her mixed morals didn't feel like a usual 'ah the doctor is a flawed character who makes bad decisions' but more of a case of the writers trying to make her seem like she was always trying to be good while ignoring the consequences. I loved Bradley Walsh, until the out of nowhere personality change in the finale that was shoehorned in, Yaz was nice but I feel like they used her for too much plot exposition and Ryan seem to be hit and miss. The lack of a real story arc was a bit rubbish too I think. Sorry for the essay as well haha
StarstruckIllusion 52,787
Matt Smith 😍😍 Amy/Clara I really don’t remember them all but I’ve yet to hate a season so The season 2 one where David @ the devil over a black hole.
