No remorse there.  I just see an empty shell.  Her reaction sums up to : meh so they died. Yeah sorry to all the men.

And why is she apologizing to all the families who lost their husbands and sons and brothers AND all to all the men who lost their women and children.

Just from that statement.  The way she chose to word that.  She only apologized for the men who died AND apologized to the men because they lost their women.

She makes me sick.

she just comes across very untrustworthy and disingenuous!

i get a bad vibe about her, it's just the utter lack of genuine remorse.

As a British citizen, I'm quite concerned. Making somebody stateless is illegal.

There are so many reasons why she SHOULD be brought back to Britain.

It's wild that in 2014 Theresa May (the then Home Secretary) said this would absolutely not be happening.

That alone should be reason enough to revoke her citizenship. No western country needs her.

I saw on ITV News here in the UK that it may have been removed because she may have dual citizenship. I think there is too much risk bringing her back personally, even though she would be a good asset for intelligence - IF she was genuine.

I don't wish ill of her but my God am I glad the people of the U.K. are safe from her.  She comes across as poison.

The whole attitude of "there's no proof I'm dangerous" and "there's no proof I've committed a crime except join ISIS" is just crazy.  You can see it plastered on her face how disingenuous she is, she's f*cking crazy.

There is arguably more risk for not allowing her back. She will become a martyr; an IS poster-child for 'look, your country doesn't care about you, come and join us'.

Her behaviour is strange to say the least. It does make me wonder whether she feels she is under some form of duress.

As a brit I'm surprised this actually happened, I fully expected her to return to the UK because we are too soft on this kind of thing. In our judicial system we have ridiculously weak sentencing for crimes in this country. Toughening up on this sort of thing is long overdue but welcomed.

I get where you're coming from with all your comments, but to the majority of the public she comes off really bad and there's no signs of genuine remorse - even if she was under duress, she should would at least show some sort of emotion.

i'll leave it at that, we both have different opinions :awkney:

So the alternative is to just allow people to pop in and out of terrorist groups like it's nothing? Absolutely not.

Letting her come back would create an argument for others - more dangerous and threatening than her - to do exactly the same, whether now or in the future.

I don't think that she as an individual is a threat, but to me it's more of a principle thing. She chose to go there, regardless of her age. She has stated that she was fully aware she was making her own decision and of the risk that she was taking. She said she doesn't regret it and that she "had a good time there" for goodness sake.

I could see the argument if she was begging, pleading and crying out of regret but let's be honest... She has literally zero remorse.

- Doesn't regret going
- "Had a good time"
- Saw a decapitated head in a bin and it "didn't faze her"
- Sees a justification in the Manchester bombing
JOINED ISIS

And on top of that she is near demanding that we feel sympathy for her? She wants to come back and live a better life through the freedoms that the group she joined intended to destroy? What a mess.

Sis she expressed that she was ready to come back... and go to prison, which she would have. Unless, of course, you think she is less dangerous out in the world than she would be isolated in prison?

Nobody here is saying that she should be allowed to come back and walk free, but we must take responsibility for our citizens and, further still, try our best to control the effects of terrorism.

I think we all need to take the emotional arguments out of the equation and consider only what is logical. This decision has clearly been made in an attempt to pander to the British public; a decision that may prove to be completely illegal, which worries me.

She decided not to be our citizen when left to join ISIS and yeah put her in a prison cell have you seen some of the prison cells they have more luxuries then homeless people. And I’m sure blowing people up is illegal

Or any country that doesn't support ISIS or want anything to do with them.

I don't know why people insist on this West not-West dichotomy. It's simply inaccurate.

Many people think that the Western civilization is way too advanced for extremism but forget the recent uprisings that violently call for a return to the past, ironically coming from those who say they're "preserving" the West.

That's the only thing that stands out to me. I don't know if citizenship can be revoked at all or if it should be allowed.

But I also believe in exceptional cases and this is one. They need to be careful though not to go down this revoking path for non extreme cases.
