She didn't deserve a violent death but how ironic would it have been if she was poisoned the same way as Joffrey. It's twisted and unfair to the character but GOT is often very unfair to the best characters. Perhaps I just have a twisted mind. Cersei is my ultimate favourite after all. Cersei is the most detestable person in GOT but she's also one of the most interesting and cunning characters that are just enjoyable enough to watch without have guilt. She really isn't but she's better than Dany. The best characters are people like Sansa, Brienne, Davos, Tyrion, Jaime, etc. Characters with depth and complexity. Cersei is sort of a villain which is why she doesn't need complexity. Villains are here to have menacing shots, do evil things and just be straight up terrible people so it is more satisfying to see them die in the end.
