Trump REALLY have a strong grip on a large part of the right from extreme right voters to more moderate republicans so placing someone like Harris who can't convince a large share of the left is dangerous imo. Also all her time as an AG is already being checked and she has her fair share of shady gestures in her past that could do a clinton effect with people liking her when the campaign start then learning about her and doubting more and more with time. This should not be such a difficult thing. And don't come at me with a vote for the Independent candidate is a vote for Trump crapola. No, it's not. We need to focus on flipping states. The 2018 midterms already showed us many typical blue states are willing to flip red for 2020. Just like they did for 2016. If they run another centrist Democrat, it's over. Sure, there might be more jobs now... but how many of those jobs actually pay a livable wage? Previous generations worked to prosper, young people now work to barely be able to survive.
