Why do we always assume Gaga’s projects are the only ones with momentum though? The world is not a Gaga fanbase. Other artists and their teams work hard as well and are just as deserving than Gaga most of the time and yes, sometimes even more  It’s not a big deal.

Really shows lack of taste when LMs cape for Adele to the point of saying BTW didn't stand a chance. It was the superior album, did much more, it was both a moment and a movement, and it was still insanely successful and could've won.

We need to remember as a fanbase that there are other artists and as important as Lady Gaga was in dictating the direction of the industry, we can't say that every phenomenon that took place since 2009 had something to do with her.

It has nothing to do with taste, or quality for that matter. 21 was unbeatable that year, period. Not even Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band would've stood a chance against it.

Grammys aren't supposed to care too much about charts as we saw with Joanne winning. 

It was a very similar situation to 25 and Lemonade. Lemonade did stand a chance but lost just like BTW did. 21 and 25 weren't unstoppable. They were just grammy favorites because guess what? The academy likes white women in dresses/gowns singing love songs. Which is why Gaga is winning now but didn't in some of her other best eras.

Tbh I need this. They will have a chance at the Grammys next year if they push one other single and either ARUTW or INLA are waiting to happen. 

ARUTW is more liked but may have been too exposed already to get a real push now.

They aren't supposed to, but they do. When an album has critical acclaim, AND sells 31 million copies worldwide, it's an invincible combo. On top of that, and perhaps more importantly, the whole world was wetting their panties over Adele, and the same certainly couldn't be said about Gaga at the time. And let's not pretend that BTW was universally looked at as a masterpiece, because it wasn't. That was the beginning of the end for Gaga's honeymoon with the media, and the backlash had always become apparent in many professional reviews that focused on her behavior instead of the music. It was in no way comparable to Lemonade, which was universally acclaimed, and Gaga certainly didn't enjoy the morbid worshipping by the press the way Beyonce has. There was no competition in any sense of the word.

The Joanne win was the definition of a fluke, and this is not an attack on Gaga. Every single Pop Solo winner won with a #1/#2 hit. Joanne was the exception, not the rule. Where Gaga does fit the pattern is that Pop Solo has always been won by someone with a certain level of industry respect. Gaga was the only nominee this year with that kind of respect, other than Beck, who's never been known as a vocal powerhouse.

I don’t care at all about winning Grammy awards. I only care about the art. And I think Born This Way was a far stronger contender than The Fame Monster and was a better album overall.

I don't think she needs a GF Grammy. We will support her no matter what, she doesn't need the industry to tell her that she's great. We already know she is.
