Ghost Face 6,236
I had a crazy Gaga day and it actually hit me that she is really back. This morning I was called by a colleague of mine. He said he had seen A Star born yesterday and was now watching Gaga's docu. He said that he did not know what a beautiful woman she actually was and that he not know that she was so talented and loving. My smile went from ear to ear. Not much later I went to the supermarket. In the car I heard Shallow at a small radio station. They even talked about the movie and about that she is attending to the grammys. When I was in the supermarket I suddenly heard AWRUTW played at the largest radio station in the Netherlands. I even saw customers sing along with the song! Back home I was scrolling through my facebook and came across two newspaper articles full of praise for Gaga / Shallow. And just now I went to my parents for dinner and get asked by my mom to put on some Lady Gaga music during dinner. After I went to see A star is born with my mom she is completely into Gaga. Of course I hope that our girl will pull all the awards tonight. But if this is not the case, it is totally fine to me . When I look at today and see how loved and respected Gaga is at the moment, to me it's clear that she is already a winner. It's an honor.
Didymus 34,380
You're right. But I already thought she was a winner when she said she finally found happiness Sappy, I know. But it was important to me after the eternally-getting-worse emotional breakdown era aka 2009-2013. But yes, it is a great time to be a fan. If only those "OMG why is she getting SNUBBED, who the f-cking f-ck is Glenn Close, that irrelevant ho better step aside, Oscars cancelled af!!!" morons would shut up. FATCAT 60,298
I would definitely agree that the film's impact is a lot broader and important than any of the awards. Friends of mine (not the straight male) that have seen the movie are in shock and suddenly love her music. This kitten over here (meow)
Red 98,227
Honestly the Oscars are just gold dildos, they don’t mean anything real, I’ve seen a lot of whos winning and deserving people not even being nominated, what counts is what gets people talking If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. FentyGa 14,340
y'all so ready for her to lose lol Spoiler but it is nice that she's getting success from ASIB

The point of this thread is to celebrate her impact and succes no matter what. It's an honor.
Kimblue 7,334
I had so many people tell me that after they saw ASIB they went on a Gaga binge and watched FF2, performances, etc. it makes me so happy, this was one of the smartest decisions she has ever made in her career. And Gaga would be happy for Glenn if she won, and that's not an act, it's who Gaga is as a person. I think Gaga will gain more and more love and respect when people begin to see the real person who resides behind her professional image. I live outside the space time continuum. Siena 6,281
You’re right honestly the respect that she now has is enough of a win already. I can’t tell you how happy I was when a couple months ago my friend since I was 8 turned to me and said “ you know we were all talking about this the other day and I’m sorry for making fun of you for loving lady Gaga all of middle school, because you knew all along how special she was”. When she said that I almost started to cry

I think there is something very profound in your statement. Fans celebrate an artist's awards, sales, and charts, but a person's happiness is so much more important. In Gaga's case it is ironic that helping others brings her the most happiness, more than the awards, sales, and charts her fans celebrate. I think it is nice to celebrate Gaga for living a life of spreading love, kindness, and positivity. I live outside the space time continuum.
