PunkTheFunk 124,289
Over the past five years or so, there have been three men who have helped Gaga break through or be "reborn" in three of the four fields of show business (Television, Music, Film, and Theatre). Of course, this is not to take away from Gaga's hard work and talent at all, but we can't deny that they've been instrumental in shaping her career. TELEVISION: Ryan Murphy believed in Gaga as an actress, put her in his TV show, and helped her win her first serious acting award. MUSIC: Tony Bennett believed in Gaga when it seemed like her music career was in its twilight years. Thanks to their partnership, her love of music was revitalized, and she went on to win not only a Grammy, but the hearts of a whole new demographic. Had it not been for him I really don't know what she would've done after the ARTPOP era. FILM: Bradley Cooper, as we all know, was the 1 person who believed in Gaga when 99 others apparently didn't, and in doing so, turned her from pop star to serious actor. From this debut role alone, she is now an Oscar/BAFTA/SAG-nominated, and Critics Choice Award/National Board of Review-winning actress. That leaves one more -- THEATRE. The final frontier. Will it be Lin-Manuel Miranda who helps Gaga break through on Broadway (and hopefully snatch a Tony )? Judging by their conversation on "Actors on Actors", it seems very plausible to me. What do you think? Spoiler

JohnnyVersace 8,969
I...... 1000% agree. He's the Broadway musical key. I'm positive he's already working on something new, and tbh in order to top Hamilton he'll need some sort of draw. ...and that could easily be Lady Gaga. LateToCult 40,770
The way you describe it is like she’s Aang and she’s getting help mastering the four elements.
Ferrara 122
Agree. However, I think she should first focus on the film industry. Do a few films. And then head to Broadway. There’s plenty of time for her to become an EGOT.

LaLa 19,519
I adore LMM and I’d die if he and Gaga worked together. They seemed to have a genuine connection in that Actor on Actors, so I hope something comes of it! That said, I don’t think she’ll be doing Broadway in the next 5 years or so, just because of the time and commitment it takes. And you know something with LMM isn’t going to have a short run! But she’ll have a long career, and he will too, so I hope it happens eventually.
Bradley 58,712
I am fine with Gaga being an EGO-nominated/winning aritst tbh. Theatre shows are not preserved in recordings and they disappear as soon as after they are completed, I just think a lot of fans and people would not have been able to witness her dedication to the project. I would rather she try something in the veins of Broadway but in a movie, like Les Miserables or Into the Woods.

A show of this caliber would 100% get an original cast recording that would be released on like itunes and stuff. I want her to get that Tony, and I think she will. That would at least get an HD televised performance, but knowing how big she is she will probably push for a professional recording of it, like Shrek did with netflix. I heard that there is usually a cast recording of the audio but not the show itself? If that's the case then it would be like listening to a play instead of actually watching it. Knowing her she would push for dialogue interludes to be included, much like with the ASIB soundtrack. I would be very surprised if there wasn't a professional recording, though. The good thing is is that she won't be in charge of promotion and any producer working with her would know that she has a massive fanbase that would eat up a professionally recorded and released version of the live show.
