Marshmello makes history with the biggest virtual concert ever

4 days ago Fortnite players began noticing a stage being built in the middle of one of the game's POI. The map was updating live with the stage being built.

It started with trucks pulling up inside the football field, then a stage being set up

until the full stage was completed.

Prior to the show, players could also see posters about the show around the map, and there were challenges they could do to earn free Marshmello cosmetics and emotes for the show:

Also his tour calendar on his official website included the event

A day before the show, players also heard a LIVE mic check while they were playing

 

 

The show went on to being watched by around 10 millions players around the world, with millions of others watching from streaming websites

After the show on February 3, Marshmello hopped into a call with Fortnite streamer Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlap to explain that nothing was pre-recorded, to the surprise of every Fortnite player.

That was all live, man! That was the whole thing, so you know, in the very early workings of it all we weren’t sure what could be handled as far as bandwidth and stuff like live voice, and live everything, Marshmello confirmed with Courage. source

I wish Gaga did/would do something like this to promote Enigma, it would be so fitting especially with the video games aesthetics.

Like imagine this being an in game skin, Enigma being in the background and Gaga flying around like in the interludes and turning all the straights gay

Yas, I also got it  it was such a smart idea, I really hope Gaga would do it some day. Imagine all the kids going around with Gaga's skins and dances

He literally seems genius to me, he was under another name before and randomly became marshmello and just did everything right promo-wise, it's like he did an EDM Gaga
