Katy career dwindled so much after one flopped album that she can't even debut inside the top 40 anymore with a huge comeback single and a big name producer. Look at Taylors single stats of Reputation. LWYMMD was frontloaded as hell and every subsquent single did worse and worse besides the damage control single Delicate which smashed on AC and HAC radio. I don't see another million debut for her anymore in the future because of the extreme damage that Reputation left. aaaa I don't know who sold you the cheap fantasys of Taylor flopping because she can't recreate a mostrous era like 1989 .... but Reputation debuted with 1+ mil in US and sold in today's climate 2 mil pure ....that's insane ...only Adele can match those sales .. LWYMMD debuted with 900 + units on H100 ....Her stats might seem like an underperformance vs her old albums but the underperformance is not near as big as y'all paint it to be because the PURE sale marked bombed in the last 2 years and even ADELE might have some troubles selling 2 mil pure in US ....you will all see ...SHALLOW barely 700 k in US despite the fact that it stayed at #1 for 2-3 months .... + Reputation Tour earned 350 mil + .... Y'ALL WOULD KILL FOR AN ERA LIKE REP FOR GAGA ....and every fanbase would excluding Adele's that might sell on par or a little bit more ...

Because a few more smash albums would cement her status as a legend because right now her status is still a bit shaky. This is what I meant with going the Vogue-route. It's an often and successfully used method of turning stars into icons and legends. These songs are always pompous, classy and arrogant as hell which made them so beloved. Pure pop songs that demand you to listen to them. Hide contents Hide contents I just realized that I should've probably used SexBack instead of Suit & Tie because that song sounds more like a coronation anthem. even a song like 'cake like Lady Gaga' would smash today lmao the standards are really low way better than 7 rings

I talked about how the Reputation era sank more and more with each new single. She had a great starting point off 1989 but she completely blew it. Nobody expected another 1989 but at least another Red or Speak Now should be expected but she didn't even achieve that. A successful tour might sound good but never forget that Justin Timberlake's Man Of The Woods Tour already outsold Joanne, an album which was less successful than Joanne. Or even better: Madonnas Rebel Heart Tour which outsells the Joanne Tour 2:1 but the album was a failure in every sense of the word. What my point is: - Reputation damaged Taylors career and she hit a huge slump because of it and will probably never be able to reach new hights - successful tours don't equate successful albums

Even with her decline she's still bigger than Bey / Rihanna / Gaga / Katy / every other female artist in US except Adele ... THAT DOESN'T TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM GAGA !
