Her label is doing a great job, if Gaga would have this kind of promo, you would be happy, wouldn’t you? Still, people are having a choice, they can just skip the ads and move on to their favourite music. Ariana Grande is def not my most liked artist, her music is just ok, but there’s no denying she is killing it at the moment and it’s good for females in this industry. Again, this IS huge, regardless of what kind of promo she has.

Ridiculous is when spotify put your face on the every playlist there is (drake), Ariana has alot of spotify promo but it's deserved for her level of success on the platform. Also she has "only" 3 songs on the TTH, the same as as gaga had with ASIB and we were living for it. I don't think it's fair to downplay someones success just because their stuff is promoted somewhere. Just like i hate when people downplay MR success saying "it was only a hit because of the superbowl" or when people come for ASIBs soundtrack saying "ASIB had major promo and soundtracks are in right now, ofc it is a success". As shown countless times, even if you promote your music alot, it won't automatically become a success, but if people actually like what they hear it will. We can't deny that Arianas streaming numbers are very impressive right now even with all the playlists.

It's been 10 years and fans still don't understand that labels don't just choose how much promo to do for an artist. They don't just sit in a meeting and go "Yeah, let's give Ariana a billion streams, tell legal to write a $1m check to Spotify." It all depends on demand and the reason she's everywhere is because the public wants her to be everywhere, not the other way. Literally the same thing happened with Gaga in 2011, you couldn't leave the house without seeing her face and even companies like Amazon were ready to lose millions and sell her album for a dollar only to get a piece of thay hype. So yes, what's happening with Ariana right now IS a massive achievement.

There's definitely sometimes when labels are trying too hard to promote an artist and it doesn't work. Many times it does and the relationship between public demand and the promo is mutual - they both feed into each other. But it's not just one way, yes.
