I’ll admit I was underwhelmed watching the movie.  Definitely not the type of film I’d be willing to sit through multiple times.  I saw it twice.  I’ll probably watch it a 3rd time this year or next year.  I’m not a hater.  But I’m also not a delulu asskisser

1) I don’t believe I was manipulated into loving A Star Is Born, nor was I manipulated into rewatching it, listening to the soundtrack on repeat, or holding back tears thinking about the final scene of the film while listening to INLA.

2) Bradley has about 3 lines? He’s one of the main characters and is in most of the movie. Maybe he had three lines in the trailer?

3) A whole lot more but I’ll just stop here 

In all honesty I respect this person’s opinion of disliking it, just don’t say those who like it are being manipulated or brainwashed, it could get the best reviews ever and that wouldn’t change someone’s mind into liking it. It’s getting the acclaim and positive reviews because people like it.

The movie wasn’t THAT amazing let’s be real. It was a fun movie and I enjoyed it though. It should have been a Summer hit. But yeah compared to the other award movies i’ve seen it doesn’t stand at all. She’s getting an Oscar for Best Song either way.

She called a love story overly sentimental twice, schmaltzy and melodramatic. That's a rather ironic criticism, and not correctly assigned. Ignore her. She's an outlier from the consensus of reviews. Guazy lighting, doubtful. And it's set mostly indoors or at night with artificial light required. The characters were developed well enough for the movie length. That review is crap.

I just looked at the link. Multiple reviewers and they didn't like any of the best picture nominees. Didn't even bother to watch BR. It's just a joke. Sorry for giving it any gravitas.

You don't need to be an asskisser to love the movie just because Gaga was in it. Even if I wasn't a fan of Gaga at all, it would still be my favorite movie of last year.
