WDYDT might be shallow but ...

I needed to make a thread about this to give Why Did You Do That some justice. 

First of all, I loved the song the first time I heard it but I never thought I would relate that much to the lyrics. Everyone is saying that the lyrics are bad and shallow but I think it's one of her lyrics that I can relate to the most. This feeling when somebody is haunting your mind and you can't do anything to get over it and you're lost into hating him or loving him and that makes the thing even worst. It actually makes me think of Taylor's Gorgeous lyrics. 

EDIT: I forgot to say that the song reminded me of the feeling when I felt attracted to a boy for the first time. I really was like, uhh why am I feeling this way, why did he have to be that hot and look at me, and I was really hating him because I didn't want to see that I was attracted by boys. Literally, every word in WDYDT represents accurately this situation.

But no one here said it’s deep?  He literally said that “it may be shallow but”... He related to those lyrics in some way and I honestly think that it’s up to him. No need for unnecessary negativity towards the user who made this thread.

OT I like the song. I like lyrics, upbeat instrumental and the feel of the song. It’s just care free and it’s so enjoyable IMO.

I say Hair Body Face is the underrated bop.  It also has very relatable lyrics, but it's not overly repetitive and has a fire chorus!

I will say that the lyrics of WDYDT definitely apply to many situations in my life.  Unfortunately I find the song itself to be a bit repetitive and borderline obnoxious.  Just my opinion.
