Anti-semitism (which my family has experienced) is anti-Jewish. I think Israel is guilty of atrocities against Palestine (and vice-versa) but that given how much they can control the Palestinians, Israel needs to step up

One last thing, Ilhan Omar is supportive of  LGBT (as is I think Rashida Tlaib), which probably means they get lots of threats from other Muslims as well. Crazy world

Are you kidding? Every politician and US President has referenced a "nation under God," assuming their Christian faith. She is a Muslim woman, she isn't "dragging" Allah anywhere.

I get why people can think that it's anti-semitic, but aren't we just considering too many things anti-semitic by now?

 

Yes, the systematic agendas and conspiracy theories about rich bankers or Soros is anti-semitic. The hypocricy of many Arabs and some Europeans who only focus on Israel's wrongdoings but forget all atrocities in the rest of the world is anti-semitic. But I honestly think not everyone is capable of catching up with all the things you can't say and that we should keep in mind that someone may accidentally use a phrasing associated with anti-semitism. Otherwise we're just going too far into political correctness. 'hypnotizing' is associated with anti-semitic stereotypes (e.g. Jews having power over the rest of the world), but she only used it once and may just as well have accidentally used it like that, just like people might say Trump is hypnotized by Russia, with no bad/discriminatory intentions.
