well, i kinda preferred her with Tony  (but I love bradga too )

Yea, Tony too but she hasn't put out a jazz album yet, so probability of looking better with bradley than with Tony is higher. :ally:

Nothing but respect for MY BEST ENSEMBLE WINNERS

Being nominated for an award , especially best picture, means that many more people will watch the movie. Awards are great marketing tools for the industry. It is an honor to be nominated. Though it must be so hard to be nominated, get dressed up, sit in a room with cameras recording every expression, and not win. Honor and disappointment all mixed up together.  Even the new articles talking about it being a snub are good press. So just hang in there everyone. More award shows to come. I hate to admit that I enjoyed some of the other nominees performances as well.

There can only be one winner.

I’m glad BR didn’t win the top award as I’d think some sort of fix was going on.

I hate that Star is Born is going to be overshadowed basically, this is award season where Lady Gaga should be sweeping. If she wanted to she could be doing more piano and jazz shows, because more than likely with her being nominated with Glenn Close and other major threat actresses and songwriters it's going to be difficult for her to win.

Glenn has got the BA Oscar all tied up I’m afraid.

It is almost certain that a GG and SAG Best Actress winner will win the Oscar.

I am still rooting for Best Original Song. If Shallow doesn’t win, I’ll riot.

In my messy era.

The admins should close the website for some weeks lmao :laughga:

No but honestly that would be the Snub of the century. I don’t watch the whole Oscars just to see ASIB with 8 noms and 0 wins! Can someone check what the biggest snub in history of the Oscars was?

Judy Garland in A Star is Born, of course.

Well, so every thing went down as expected except for the tv side and Emily (Regina is happy right now!). Close had the oscars in the bag ever since the golden globes (was predicting it before that actually, timing is just too good). I don't feel bad for Gaga at all, like Glenn said she's doing all this on her first role, she was talking that way because she knows how hard it is. I am feeling bad for another BA contender, timing is really a b*tch because no one is stopping Close no matter how amazing you are.

Before talking about robbery, please watch the films in contention! And I am just thinking about the fact that The Favourite can actually go home empty handed on oscar night win 10 noms :noparty:

I actually think Hollywood doesn't want Bradley  (and his film) to win because they don't want a new director to win.

The fact that they purposely snubbed him in best director confirms me that.

I still don't get it why Glenn Close wins Best Actress instead of Olivia Colman. The Wife was mediocre. Sorry. :awkney:

But her acting performance wasn't mediocre.
