Pop music is so important, and I feel like in 2018/2019 it’s taken a back seat. I’m excited for a resurgence. Do you kind of sense that pop music is making more of a comeback than in recent years?

I think pop music is dead right now, actually. It’s the most boring that it’s ever been. No one is taking chances. Everybody is saying the exact same thing that we already know, and I just pray that one day we can all be enlightened by some singer that will come along and give us some insight on the world. I feel like right now everybody that’s out is saying the exact same noise.

I mean she’s not wrong. The genre could do with an occasional shake up by some force de nature, so to speak. But, on a somewhat related note to this quote, I lowkey hate this trend of early 2000’s pop stans acting like unless you’re taking chances and pushing boundaries, you must be ****. :neyde:

There's so much great pop music being created that's not corporate (Top 40, Hot 100) just gotta know where to look.

Radio pop is definitely dead

I love poppy, and it takes a LOT for me to actually enjoy a new pop star, she’s SEVERLY and sadly underrated, her songs Am I A Girl, Pop Music, Time Is Up, Moshi Moshi, Lowlife, and of course X are some AWESOME songs!
