Oscars in Character

You’re watching the Oscars Red Carpet, and Gaga and Bradley pull up looking like this:

Or they show up in normal glamorous red carpet outfits and surprise everyone by performing Shallow in character.

How would you feel?

I´m pretty sure she is toned down the whole time because of the oscar campain. she doesnt want to step on anyones shoes AND she represents the movie and the cast.

this playing safe thing could end with the oscars. i hope it does. or latest when she comes up with her new music.

but i could imagine her showing up at the oscars in a WTF outfit.

 

but as much as i love the one you posted, this is not really oscar like. i´d rather have that in a photoshoot or a tv appearence.

Traditionally, Oscar producers will try to clue in the audience to the evening's storyline and "sweepers" by kicking things off with a Bang to provide a glimpse on what's ahead.

Attending the red carpet in character is silly and I don't think she could convince Coopy to do it, nor do I think she would want to do it. She's been working hard on her image and public appearances to "fit in" to Hollywood and doing all the right things to get the Academy to like her, with just the tiniest touches of Gaga extra-ness. Showing up in character would be 1000% extra and cringe and I think Gaga's worked too hard to solidify her "serious and earnest actress" reputation to blow it up with a stunt.  (If she is going to do a stunt, it needs to involve 10 dancers and some butt cheek, IMO )

Performing in character would be cool tho, but Bradley shaved off the Jackson beard and Gaga's real hair isn't Ally colored anymore so the costumes would look a little off with a wig and fake beard.

I can see her performing it solo as ally, would be the perfect round up and making sense with them hanging the billboard. lets wait if there are some more promo hints coming. but i can see them putting out the song soloversion after the show as well.
