I mean I make around USD$5000 a month which is not bad concerning I just graduated few months ago. Even for me I don’t think ever in my life I could afford a 2 bedroom apartment in the suburb. The recent trade war affected economy of China and the Chinese stopped rushing to Hong Kong to buy houses to launder their money so affordability of houses improved these 3 months but still, it’s crazy. Don’t take this the wrong way I know I am privileged and I don’t mean to brag, just saying to give you guys a clearer picture, my family make around USD$25000 per month and our house is currently priced at around USD$4Mil. For people like us, it’s quite normal that we live in houses that cost USD$4-6mil. A normal middle class family that makes around USD$5-6000 now lives in houses that are around USD$1.2 mil. I would say the cheapest shittiest 550sqft 3 bedroom apartment that is almost an hour away from the city that can barely fit a 4 people family is around USD$1mil.
