Honestly, gay jokes are kind of tiring though. They aren't as funny as they used to be. Meaning that it's 2019 and LGBTQ are being more accepted. Times ARE changing. Whether they were innuendos or explicit. eh.. I also wonder if this is to prevent any future backlash and they're just being "PC" as some would call it or if they're making a conscious effort to just have smarter writing. I'm sure the article says something, but I'm tired. And I do have to say that I'm sure there will be a ton of "SJW" name calling and such. But the discussion really needs to focus back on the issue of Trump supporters and white straight men always complaining when they get joked about. They don't like it. Many don't even like Gillette for calling out assault. So if all people can be joked about, cool. But we all know that that's just a mess for the hypocritical. I don't think being Gay should ever be used as an Insult, Growing up seeing that on TV and from people around me was very uncomfortable and disheartening. And some gay jokes are not intelligent and thought out. They're just dull. I'm not so much offended by gay jokes on tv, but what it does is create a culture that makes it acceptable for straight people watching to continue their homophobic behavior and that's what i find wrong with it. Sure, there are stereotypes, which is natural in comedy shows, but overall they are a very open-minded and supportive TV show. Kudos to them for recognizing that some things may not be acceptable or appropriate anymore.
