I thought it’d be a good idea for all of us to reveal where we stand before the nominations arrive. I’m only focusing on 7 awards. I am planning on doing a second part of this thread after SAG and BAFTAS. The other two front runners (Green Book & ROMA) have more things against them than ASIB. However, as of now, ROMA has the biggest momentum. But we still have PGA, SAG and BAFTAS left. I mean, Shallow won pretty much all the music awards this season, so it should be a lock The categories where it could surprise and snatch an award: Best Picture, Best Sound mixing, Best Actor and Best Actress (Its gonna be hard though). But like I said before, I feel like ASIB is in 2nd/3rd place for a win in almost all its categories. So it will be hard for it to win anything more besides Best Song. ASIB peaked a little bit too early, and it has moved down a bit on prediction lists. It's still considered a top 4 film of the year, but of course no one bothers to care unless you're #1; aka the winner. I think ASIB has to win Best Ensemble at the SAGs to stay in the game.
