It's this time of the year

Hello GGD and welcome to the first ever GGD SSBU Tournament for Nintendo Switch!

Requirements:
*Nintendo Switch
*Nintendo Switch Onine Subscription
*Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (game).

Tournament Rules:
Rules are simple; all the participants will be randomly included in an elimination bracket until the finale is done. Details will be revealed later.

--FINAL ROUND--

The 8 finalists will compete in the elimination bracket which will crown GGD's Best Smash Player, alongside 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

Round 1 Match Rules:
We will keep the Best Out Of 5 rule (same as the group phase) with the following added rules;
* NO ITEMS at all (not even the FS Ball)
* the stage has to be a RANDOM BATTLEFIELD.
* each battle must be 10 minutes long, 6 stock for each one.

"SEMIFINAL", "FINAL" AND "3RD & 4TH PLACE":
We will keep the Best Out Of 5 rule (same as the group phase) with the following added rules;
* NO ITEMS at all (not even the FS Ball)
* the stage has to be a FINAL DESTINATION.
* each battle must be 10 minutes long, 6 stock for each one.

REMEMBER: The first one to reach 3 victories will be the definitive winner and move into the next round.

The deadline for round 1 will be until next friday Feb. 15

Groups phase:
All 16 of you have been divided into 4 teams of 4, from 'A' to 'D', all of the placements were randomly generated by the APP 
and only the two top spots will advance into the final round which will be the elimination bracket. (Just like the FIFA World Cup)

Matches' rules during group phase:
One of the two players must create an arena in which 5 battles will be held, the first player to reach 3 out of 5 victories will be declared the winner. Add your oponents (NSW Codes are in the OP) and set a good day for both. The battle arena rules MUST also include the following:
* NO items except the FS ball with a normal spawn rate,
* the stage has to be a RANDOM BATTLEFIELD one,
* each battle with 10 minutes long and 5 stock for each competitor. Taking down 5 times your opponent will, of course, give you only ONE victory. Remember, the first one to reach 3 will be declared the true winner.

Please remember that the final score has to be remembered and sent to me; for example; in my match against ZacharyMonster I won 2 times but he got 3, that will be 2-3 in his favor and those details must be posted in the thread in order for me to update the tournament bracket (Difference between points can give a player the ticket for the final round).

FAQ:
What characters am I allowed to use through the competition? Can I change my character during 
Everyone and yes.

What Stages can we select during the group phase?
Battlefields only.

What happens if I'm trying to contact a member for some time and he's inactive?
Post evidence of his/her inactivity in the thread and if it appears to be true, then he's disqualified, giving you the victory.
