A Star Is Born - Sound in the Bluray

Hey guys, is it just me, or the sound during the whole official release sounds very weird? It's like a very low quality and during the songs it's the most annoying. I downloaded the movie from iTunes. I watched it 4 times in the cinema and the sound there was so clear like a crystal perfect HD. I remember during Shallow I got goosebumps during the Ally's first words of the chorus. The sound was like you could feel she really was singing to a huge crowd in a stadium or something, with echo from the microphone, almost stopping your breath. So beautiful! Last month a found some illegal leak with Asian subs on the Internet, the sound was also ok. So I couldn't wait to have the official release with the best live quality and I got disappointed. During Shallow Ally sounds like she sings to a Skype mic at home in a small room without people. There is not any echo and if you close your eyes you would never know she is in front of a big arena. :saladga:The instrumentals and the beat are very deaf, flat and dimmy. My last hope is the Bluray set, I hope they haven't destroyed the sound there.

The blu-ray will sound the best, especially the 4K HDR disc as it will be mixed with Dolby Atmos and in a higher clarity. But not all of us have 4K players.

I'll judge the iTunes download myself on the 28th when it's released here. It can't be worse than the Asian cinema transfer uploads that have been online!

edit: oh, i actually watched a digital download torrent of the film yesterday, which I presume is from Prime or iTunes, and it sounded fine to me...

I absolutely agree. It's just a creative choice of Bradley tbh to go for that kind of musical sound, probably to give it a live effect but imo it doesn't work  Gaga's voice sounds so far away when she's singing, esp. during Shallow. It's a shame, I feel like it makes her sound less amazing 'cause it's almost like the sound mix keeps you from focusing on the technique of her vocal, it's just a wave of sound that's not concentrated or whatever :madge:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it anyway. All I've been getting from people is "buy better headphones" and other bs.

People who comparing sound system in cinema and at home with ac3 384kb/s audio track. Do you really think that you can buy digital release, play it on your phone, laptop or tv and get the same sound quality as in the cinema? Oh, you're so funny, I can't
