I used to love Friends, and I watched it every single day at lunch and at dinner. However, now that I watch its just not comical to me anymore, not good as I remembered it

I'm not sure about Uber tbh I haven't looked into them much

 

There's this common misconception that all large companies are just flowing with cash but most actually have small profit margins because of competition.

 

The CEO may get a large salary and the largest share holders are rich (because if your not rich you can't afford to buy a tone of stocks in any company) but that's individuals...

 

The companies themselves usually only have profit margins of 5% to 10% of revenue (with the most efficient companies making more and some companies making less, sometimes even running losses)

 

Milti-Billion Dollar companies operate on a very large scale so even a 3% margin of profit might seem like a lot of money in total but it's actually a small percentage of revenue where even a small increase in operation costs could trigger losses for a fiscal year

 

It also varies by sector too. I know here in Canada bank profits can be as high as 30% of revenue while many Airlines and Energy/Oil companies barely break-even

They are almost releasing 2 series (seasons) per month for their global subscribers. I've watch a Norwegian, a Danish, an Italian, a Spanish, a Mexican series. Not to mention all the US content. This has to be a joke  Otherwise, what I understand is that you want netflix non-originals to be available "sooner" in Netflix? You need to remember that the future for Netflix its their own productions. 

 

They don't have the tv shows i'm looking for though. Like Hulu gives me current tv shows plus old school ones from when I was little like Hey Arnold and Jimmy Neutron. I'm not really talking about original programming when it comes to Netflix, though the new original programming I've looked at recently is not entertaining to me. They certainly still have their older original shows that I love (Bojack Horseman, Fuller House, Big Mouth, Kimmy Schmitt, Stranger Things), but the new seasons take a while to come out. I'd say their strongest parts right now are the documentaries they offer and The Office. 

 

Also, Netflix does **** for Christmas and Halloween. I literally couldn't find any worthy Christmas movies on it this year aside from The Grinch and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas. Same thing with Halloween programming. Hulu offers me some selection with those.

I love how companies are just contributing to inflation more and more.

Free market working. Apple raises prices, everyone follows. Likewise here. Hopefully others have some sense to undercut them and have at least one healthy competitor.
