By those definitions, Shallow definitely has SOTY in the bag. This is America's lyrics aren't too much to base the song by. The video is basically what brings all the attention the song. When are nominations announced ? Shallow is performing much better commercially and is showing consistent longevity instead of the sudden and short lived spikes that Million Reasons kept having. Shallow is definitely getting nominated for Song and it's most likely going to win that one negate it focuses on songwriting more unlike record. Shallow is almost about to surpass Million Reasons' total streams to date within a few months of release.
