A Very Gaga Holida 21,190
Hi everyone! First of all, I guess this thread doesn't belong to the Gaga Thoughts section, but I didn't know where to put it so… Well, as we all know, Gaga suffers from fibromyalgia. And so do I, and a few other members of this site. As we also know, Gaga has/had fillers all over her face. She said she was addicted to botox before ARTPOP, but we all see that ever since 2015, her injections are a lot more obvious. I've seen many people suggest that she got these new fillers to "relax" her facial muscles (which can make the pain feel worse when contracted). Gaga said that she's doing better now with all her new treatments. I've also read many times that botox could be used to treat the pain, and that many doctors prescribed it. So, I wanted to know your thoughts on this, since I noticed that when I frown my eyebrows too much (is that English? ), my pain tends to get a lot worse. Do you know something about all of this? Do you know someone who tried to get botox as a kind of painkiller? Or have you ever met a doctor who told you about this? I tried a lot of treatments. Most of the time, it doesn't help. So I'm curious about new things. Thanks for your replies. Have a nice day!
grenhurtley 180
all I can say is that this is the exact reason why Gaga is using fillers and i cant understand why TONS of people still don't get that
Sneaky Oliver 21,349
Yes Botox can be used “like a painkiller” because it relaxes the muscles. I had chronic pain in my face (from TMD) and Botox was one of the options (the best one, I’d say but it was too expensive for me ) And I had classes about it on dentistry college so this is not bullshit

And is it possible to get some injections without people noticing it?

Thanks for asking. the injections for this kind of thing are different from the cosmetic/beauty thing, it’s deeper inside the muscle and doses are also smaller. But make sure to ask that to your doctor before the treatment!

Edit: Apparently this is untrue, so ignore.

FlopSlurper 34,336
She had them for AHS, which Sarah recommended for her, and liked the look so kept it, and thank god now she stopped. Miss me with that Fibromyalgia excuse

Infinity Wave 7,633
I don't wanna sound rude, like at all, but.. Let's not act like she got those awful fillers at the infamous Frank Sinatra tribute just as a medical treatment, because I know they are helpful but as already said by some others, it's used in smaller doses and deeper inside the muscles. Nuke 1,691
Botox doesn't change the shape of the face, botox works by temporarily paralyzing tiny facial muscles. Dermal fillers can shape the face and it's mostly used for, cheeks, lips, jawline and etc. So don't mix does two thing.

Yeah but I don't remember her saying something about her face, personally But I take it that she does have chronic pain there? Then I obviously take back what I said.
