hoeslay 4,193 Posted January 7, 2019 Share Posted January 7, 2019 So I just saw one of my Instagram mutuals post on their story a clip of them going on Gaga's twitter, seeing she still follows R Kelly, and then proceeding to hit the unfollow button on Gaga's page. What are y'all thoughts on this? Here's my two cents: Gaga hardly even uses her Twitter and with the amount of people she follows and her lack of even being on there, I doubt she even thinks about stuff like that. I would say it'd be smart for her or her social media management team to just go ahead and unfollow him but again - something like a social media follow is easily forgotten? I don't think this is something to cancel Gaga for, especially considering all the work she's done for and in the name of sexual assault survivors and her being one herself. This does possibly bring up more questions on the fact of her being silent. Her silence can be seen as problematic but then again - she has her own trauma and she's dealt with the situation already and for others to attack her on it is also problematic. I think THIS PARTICULAR TEENY TINY THING is just something management should be like "oh right let's unfollow" and they just maybe haven't realized or even thought about it yet. I think it's overdramatic to cancel her because of something like this. She (my IG mutual) also posted something about how it's not that hard to let go of a song/artist and...the tea is it actually is hard when it's someone you've supported for ten years who hasn't done anything even remotely near the scale of what R Kelly or xxx-whatever have done. /rant Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is the woman who doesn't even follow her own fiance on Instagram, I'm SURE she has no idea who she follows on Twitter. That said, her management should get on it.
