Varys

People really love to complain lol. It was obvious that the ending would be a spectacle. However sad I am for Daenarys snapping, it did make sense to me. The moment when she is facing off with Cersei before the bell rings, its like a bluffing game. And Dany knowing that everyone's left her side, decides to go for her gut. And while sacking the city she inspires fear over the whole of westerns which she is supposed to rule. It reminds me of the ending of the Hunger games, and how the good guy is the bad guy. I actually felt more sympathetic for Cersei in the last few scenes, brilliant acting.

Didn't get where that white horse came from though.

It doesn't even make sense why he would betray Daenerys , he orchestrated Viserys and Danny to be sent to Essos so they wouldn't be killed by Robert.

He sent them away to have more cards to bet on later, not because he believed them to be amazing rulers when they were just kids.

So I watched it..

Well, Varys death was quick, a saga that could take a season ended in few minutes like nothing happen, they didn't even let me see him suffering :(

Jon was annoying af as usual, I mean, you know that there's a possibility that it's all an act and they can smash your skull after the rings bells and you throw your weapons, after 8 seasons you still didn't understand how Cersei thinks?

I agree with Dany, burn to the grown the bad seeds, start from fresh, yeah innocent people died, but are they really innocent? at the Walk of Shame we saw how brutal the people can be at the moment their queen is vulnerable, this city was nothing but innocent, I was so happy to see it burnt down to the grown.

Cersei death was lackluster, I wanted her to really pay for what she did, not to die like she's innocent.

About Arya -

Spoiler

I guess Arya is killing Dany (blue eyes)

The Mountain and the Hound was in between a dumb scene to a nice closure.

I felt so bad for the horse at the beginning of the war :(

wtf was this ending with Arya and the other horse? was like some kind of a students over the top short movie :laughga:

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

i liked the episode. i'm surprised a lot of people hate it. the one gripe i have is dany's character growth over the last few episodes. i know there is a sort of build up to where she is now psychologically, but there really is a kind of surprising escalation about it that takes place rather quickly. for example, dany killing all the innocent people as a means toward an end, in other words, to do it in order to take the iron throne is one thing, but to kill all those people for sport and after a surrender for good measure, that's kind of weird. you can make the argument that that's how a psychotic break looks like, and i guess you'd be right?

How Cersei was defeated made perfect sense to me. As Olenna said before dying, she lost to Cersei because she underestimated her. She never imagined Cersei was even capable to do something as atrocious as destroying the Septa and killing hundreds, but Cersei dared and conquered.

Romantic justice happened and now Cersei was the one who underestimated Daenerys.  The surrender was never happening. Cersei was expecting Dany to accept the fake surrender and then kill all of them with Wildfire bombs that Qyburn scattered everywhere (as you can see how they started to explode spontaneously after Daenerys’s attack). As atrocious as it was to see all the innocent people being massacred, the bigger queen ended up conquering.

Also, maybe I’m mixing things up, but didn’t even Arya spoke once about how she hated the people in Kings Landing and how she wanted to hurt them all? She had reasons too, it was the same people that cheered when they decapitated her father and killed her mother and brother.

This kind of behavior by the people of King's Landing is a behavior people exhibit in real life. The masses are easily being manipulated by propaganda spread by their leaders. In fact Cersei was going to exploit that didn't she? She made sure that all the people was inside the castle when Daenerys strikes to make her look like a hero and Dany the villain.

I hate D&D even more. It's clear that once they got the Star Wars gig (for whatever reason), they just wanted to rush the series.

They didn't want to dilute the story even further. With compressed seasons the story feels thin already.

Yes, the one that shocked me was a major character, only because that was the person I personally believed would end up on the throne. The others were still surprising but they made more sense when I thought more about it.

Varys?

Sandor?

Gregor?
