The problem is that they could have done a better job in building this madness, cause I dont buy that killing people who tried to kill you as beeing mad, even if we talk about her brother. Dany burned people who didn’t bend the knee, because pride stood in their way, even though they were defeated. She burned people who threatened to rape her and kill her. She crucified people who wanted to keep slaves. Book Dany is self righteous, yes, but she has a good moral compass and would NEVER burn innocent people. Her morality is not a 21. century kind of morality, but thousands of people had to do brutal things in the past. These people gave you all the rights you have today and they certainly aren’t “mad”. Morality today is totally different than it was 500 years ago. There are so many different interpretations to what happened. I dont believe for a second the bells just broke her mentally out of thin air. She and Gray Worm knew what was planned. Its more interesting to see this as a villain origin. Where does actions like that come from? They come from a place of pain. They also come from a place of greed and power hunger. But Daenarys isn't mad, as we all have probably sympathized with her over the years as well as questioned her. I believe she felt compelled to stop taking risks, and just take everything by force as ruthless as possible to no leave anything to chance and trusting Cersei. Althoug the means were wrong obviously. And people acting like the buildup wasn't there? Jons whole parentage story was probably written by GGRM to have this exact function.
