I love how right-wing people are so scared of government they want to wholesale abolish taxes and just rely on the private sector for everything which they would have no control over. Fun fact, if you focused more on supporting democracy instead of suppressing the vote we could have a more accountable government that works even better to help citizens and achieves better outcomes.

A democratic system we all vote for that provides services for our tax money is...shocker...good for society. Get over your privileged ass fears and focus on voting and fixing corruption, not abolishing the entire system.

There is nothing 'progressive' about stifling businesses (including 'big tech' which actually represents the catalyst for any real progress). You are not allowed to have any moral high ground if you support any candidates who propagate socialism, one of the most disgusting ideologies that ever existed.

I think a 60-70% rate is good for the high incomes (say, income starting from 150k). They're the ones who profited the most from the opportunities that society provided for them and thus should pay the most into the society that helped create their income and wealth. If they want 0% taxes and no rules/regulations they can move to Afghanistan or Somalia. But they won't have functioning police/security, hospitals, roads or courts there.

The CEOs are worth hundreds of millions

Fun fact, apple has retail stores with low wage employees that definitely don't make 6 figures. 

Apple relies on low wage workers in other countries to make their products. 

there are literally thousands of poor people that work hard for apple to make billions every few months. 

Every billionaire makes their fortune off the backs of the working class. They can pay billions more in taxes instead of keeping it in a bank account somewhere for nothing.

As I've just mentioned, the federal income tax should be abolished. You can't steal money from people simply because they are more successful than you are.
