Many people didn't know about his relationship with Aaliyah till the court cases in 2004

I doubt that.

the fact that they're laugh reacting to it because someone said something not positive about Lady Gaga is pathetic.

Their blatant disregard for black lives all in the name of their fave is showinggggg.

Actually they got married in 1994.

”Kelly and Aaliyah tried to keep their marriage a secret, but word soon got out. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Aaliyah’s family was outraged when they learned the news, and demanded she get an annulment right away. Their marriage, and their subsequent working relationship, came to a close in 1995.

Their union reentered the public eye in 1997, however, during Kelly’s court battle with a woman named Tiffany Hawkins. Aaliyah filed suit in Cook County, successfully sealing all her records relating to the marriage.”

The list of collabs is a lot longer.

Not everyone received a backlash for working with him since then.

But a good majority of them did.

The main reason most people are pointing out Gaga is because she's been a HUGE voice for sexual assault victims and it's just odd that she'd collab with one of the biggest sexual predators then remain silent when asked about it. It's one of the reasons why I'm starting to look at her differently(that plus the hoards of fans acting like she did no wrong).

Lion Heart

"Age ain't nothing but a number" produced by R. Kelly.

Christ this man. :rip: Operating in plain sight.

So many adults failed these young victims. It's so maddening and sad to see.

But you said it’s a good thing she refused to talk for this docu as it should be about his victims? Now you’re saying she’s staying silent when asked about it?

I’m afraid the main reason on Twitter, and it’s showing here too, is fans of other stars who already hate her, want to ruin her completely. But they do find excuses for their faves.

What does that mean?

you retorting back with points along the lines of "Gaga wasn't the only one" but why not call a spade a spade? Gaga's repeated interactions and silence on rkellys past (her complete lack of accountability in general) is  problematic asl given her public stances on sexual assault and such. You know we can be gaga fans and check her too

"also, I'd like to add that I'm glad she didn't take part in the documentary. This documentary is about the victims and it should be them telling their truths. Gaga wasn't involved in Robert's sexual history. "

Your point? It is a good thing she didn't take part in the documentary. She would've taken away from the victims. Did that stop her from tweeting, or saying literally anything about it over the past few years? no.

I'm afraid monsters can have their Stan glasses glued on and when people bring up valid points, they take it as personal attacks.

Some stans here are so damn protective, they become blind.

Gaga should've said something, i hope she does eventually.
