LepG 5
Well, of course everyone in here believes this, you guys don't even bother to search it, I am a Brazilian myself, and there are other brazilians here too, and I personally voted for Bolsonaro, and at first when I saw this I was shook, but then I went and look at the official "Medida Provisória 870/19" on the article 43 and 44 and there's no such thing as LGBT rights not being considered human rights anymore, in fact it says at the end of article 43 that it will be combated any type of violence, discrimination and intolerance, article 43 also gives rights to the social minorities, and on article 44 it even established the National Council for Combating Discrimination, you guys are believing in a completely false statement, with no data whatsoever and not even questioning it... So.... Here's the link for the official "MP 870/19": http://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/_Ato2019-2022/2019/Mpv/mpv870.htm Just if you know, you guys don't believe me, go look for yourself PS: If my comment gets deleted or something like that, It'll just show how much people don't accept truth, don't accept the facts and just want to keep hating because they don't want to be wrong

The LGBTQ community needs an extra effort and inclusive politics/programs unlike other communities.

Well, as I saw you are brazilian and thanks for being nice and giving your point, and regarding your point, It said Ethnic and Social minorities and you said LGBTQ is a minority on our country, just because the name "LGBTQ" is not written, it doesn't mean it isn't there, it doesn't say protection for asians but it says for the ethnic minorities, which includes asians, it's the same case for the LGBTQ. DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Reading up on him now: "Bolsonaro, who describes himself as “homophobic and very proud of it”, came to power following a groundswell of Trump-style support despite his extreme and frequent attacks on LGBT+ people." The politician told Playboy in 2011 that he would rather his son die than be gay, saying: “I would be incapable of loving a gay son. I prefer that he die in an accident.” During the campaign, Bolsonaro said that he stood by his claim that he would punch gay people if he saw them kissing in public. Morphine Prince 109,926
More awful things he has said: • “I had four sons, but then I had a moment of weakness, and the fifth was a girl.” • “I’m not going to rape you, because you’re very ugly” – to a female representative in Congress. • “I’d rather have my son die in a car accidentthan have him show up dating some guy.” • “I’m pro-torture, and the people are too.” • “They don’t do anything. I don’t think they’re even good for procreation any more” – referring to quilombolas, the black descendants of rebel African slaves. • “You can be sure that if I get there [the presidency], there’ll be no money for NGOs. If it’s up to me, every citizen will have a gun at home. Not one centimetre will be demarcated for indigenous reserves or quilombolas.” • “You won’t change anything in this country through voting – nothing, absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, you’ll only change things by having a civil war and doing the work the military regime didn’t do. Killing 30,000, starting with FHC [former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso]. Killing. If a few innocent people die, that’s alright.” Bolsonaro has also said he will not accept the election result unless he is the winner – only to backtrack after a negative reaction.
