With a 27% drop in taxes, Australia will be able to sell its beef to Japan much cheaper than the US... And Canada will be able to sell wheat at a 14% price advantage over the US. The US won't be able to compete in those markets and lost market share may mean having to sell cheaper to those Nations, or find other customers and lower prices there to compete for market access Trumps trade tentions prove to continue to put a strain on the US economy preventing it from growing even faster than it has as it saps business confidence Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

First Trump pulls us out of TPP instead of re-negotiating to give us leverage in a new trade frontier, and now his Trade war has cost soybean farmers and other crop industries to falter. He had a band-aid approach, farm welfare, but even that is being delayed because of his government shutdown over steal slats. Crazy how much one man can **** over his base. Trans Pacific Pact I think it stands for It's a trade agreement between 11 Countries to reduce tarrif to increase trade and productivity. The Countries include: Japan Canada Mexico Australia New Zealand Singapore Vietnam Brunei Chile Malaysia Peru Originally the US was supposed to be in it as well as a 12 Nation agreement when Obama was President but Trump decided to pull the US out even tho he's always saying he favours free trade and that the trade war is to promote free trade but that's exactly what this pact was and he ditched it He complains other countries have too much tarrifs and barriers but when he got a chance to join a pact that reduced that suddenly he said it would be bad for America Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
