And I will mention Madonna (Whether you like it or not) because she remixes all her songs when she's on a tour and she changes up the choreography as well. In Born This Way the dancers even wore the same outfits.... like come on!!! 

I know this is controversial but it needs to be said. Why should we be blind to mediocrity just because of we stan for Gaga? I am sorry but I won't pay to see a rehash of past sounds with no remixes or choreography. I was expecting a lot. I know a lot of people on GGD are saying this show is for the general public and that its meant to show people her original songs, but personally... I feel like she could have changed it up a lot while still appealing to both the GP and LM. 

Also, people saying they are upset at monsters for talking negatively about this.... bye. This show was below average, stop lying to yourself. If Madonna, Katy or Halsey did something, there would be nonstop threads of how bad it is. Be objective and neutral for once and stop being so blind by everything Gaga does.

I will always love Gaga for what she did for LGBTQ people, her fans and her kindness and hardworking spirit but I will have to stop taking her so seriously until she does something better.

I have not stuck up for Gaga because I'm blinded. If anything I have been one of her harshest critics over the years. 

I can see why people are disappointed with the show. But they only have themselves to blame. Gaga never said anything about the stuff that was hyped up. That was fans creating rumours or believing random insiders. 

The fact is the show doesn't deserve the criticism that it has received from fans. It all comes down to expectations. Everybody set them too high by believing the Intel technology was going to be used (I'm assuming it wasn't), kinetic lights, holograms, robots, new music, etc. Gaga never teased anything like this. 

I don't understand why so many people focus on the outfits and choreography. I know it's an important visual aspect for the show. But to me it doesn't matter if she uses the same stuff again. The vocals are the most important thing to me. 

As for the music, fair enough some new remixes would have been good instead of the same old stuff but I don't think it's that important. She performed some old hits that haven't been heard in a long time and TEOG was the studio version. I'm happy enough with that tbh. 

This is just supposed to be a fun show that everybody can enjoy, even casual fans. It didn't need anything new or groundbreaking and I feel like I'd rather she bring her new ideas to her next worldwide tour so we can all experience it, and not just waste it on Vegas.

I think a lot of fans are over exaggerating whatever flaws the show had. That’s to be expected because as long as I’ve been a Gaga fan this has been a really dramatic fanbase.  I honestly do feel a bit bad for Gaga, though. Sure she’s probably used to the criticism by now, but it still has to sting a little when she reads so many overwhelmingly negative comments about something she worked so hard on and was so excited for.

this fanbase is so ****ing boring, you always act like if anyone has "negative" opinions they're just ungrateful assholes who will rot in hell

anyone can have their own opinions on Gaga and Enigma but there are some things that are just objectively messy and should NOT be forgiven. Gaga is an A-list performer and with the amount of money we have to spend now to see her we deserve the best. Some people might not like some of the costumes/wigs or the setlist and some might have loved everything but it's undeniable that the wig looked flat and was falling apart very early in the show and that she could have given more space in the setlist to some more recent songs instead of overperformed singles from her first 3 albums... The storyline should have also been more cohesive and make more sense... "my Enigma is my inner voice".. gurl what? I mean I like the message but this enigma thing seems so forced at times I don't even get why she named the whole residency after it...

Also, talking about Enigma, I was excited for Petga's return but the fact that Petga (or ARTPOP tbh) isn't addressed at all makes me think that they spent a lot of money on Petga for the ARTPOP app so they had to basically recycle the technology for the residency. And even if Enigma has basically the same physical structure of Petga, Enigma looks way worse which also makes me think that the technology wasn't ready in time and they had to rush the process of animating Enigma...

overall it's a good show full of amazing songs but in these 2 years they really need to polish some aspects of the show and make it 100% flawless and if they can't I'm sorry but the show will not be worth the money, even if it's Gaga

Mrs. Carter was a boring show for me, and for me a concert needs someone who can actually sing with good vocals, so Confessions Tour and MDNA Tour.

Plus certain moments they also STOOD there and just sang. Oh wow you didn't think it was lazy of them?

Other fans have explained the meaning and it makes so much sense. Gaga didn't add the storyline for the hell of it.

and I understand but it's so overcomplicated and conceptual you literally have to glue the pieces together by yourself to try and understand it or just give your own interpretation...

Do you not realise the star of the show and main spectacle is Lady Gaga. Why do you all need the fancy shmancy gimmicks when the person with the voice is right there. I understand the need for a theatrical show but nothing should take away from Gaga. Imagine if she did have all the special technology stuff, it would overshadow her and do I really have to reiterate that she is the star of the show. 

I think it's a sad world we live in when people need the visual stimulation because they are incapable of living in the moment and enjoying the atmosphere and the music. So what if the songs are the same? This show is supposed to be for everyone. It's not just a little monster show like The Monster Ball was.

I didn't watch any live stream, I only saw videos and HQ photos once I got up this morning and I was honestly wowed. It feels like Gaga is back and I came to GGD myself expecting to see so many “yaaaaassss!” and “Crazyga is back” but was shocked to see a list of negative threads. 

Imagine being Lady Gaga all hyped for your show and wanting to see what the fans have to say and you log on to GGD to see reactions and there's nothing but negativity. It's disheartening for me as a fan and that feeling must be amplified for Gaga. It is starting to feel like the woman can't win whatever she does because everybody is so hard to please. I honestly don't blame her for not wanting to tour the world.

I think you all need to check why you are a fan of this woman because you all seem to think she needs to fulfil your own personal visions of what the show should be. I admit that I can be the same at times. But this is Gaga's life and we are just spectators of it and we need to realise that the artist is in control. If she wants to sing Beautiful Dirty Rich instead of Gypsy for example, that's her prerogative.

The show was described as an odyssey of her hits. So why are people surprised when she delivered exactly that? 

 

TBH this is the most beautiful message I have read in a long time on GGD. Thank you for speaking out a truth which can't be denied. I really thank you. I have seen all the negative threads and chose to listen to all the music from the show on youtube. And I really loved it from the bottom of my heart. Sometime in the future we won't have this anymore. so enjoy as long as you can as a gaga fan <3

I’ve not said anything regarding negativity because I agree that fans should be able to criticize Gaga’s shows and music without being called haters. But just like you should be able to have your opinion without being called a hater, people who liked the show and thought it was great should be able to do so without being called delusional.

It’s hypocritical to ask people to respect your opinions and then disrespect theirs. This website is great at that

I couldn't agree more with you, with all the fighting and negativity I see on Instagram in this community its like people forgot that lady gaga cares about us being kind to one another not us being stinky butts. Also the show was amazing. I thought we were gonna get new music but i'm actually happy we didn't now because we have enigma and after that we'll have a whole album to look forward to.
