Do you even remember The Monster Ball 1.0? That was her most innovative stage yet, highly suitable for theaters, and groundbreaking in terms of design, as well as conceptually thought-provoking.

Once more: I'm not blindly gunning for her. I've just seen her do better 1000x a long time ago. She herself said in interviews back in the old days that she didn't want to become a performer who put less and less effort and money into her shows, so I'm calling her out for exactly that when I see her do it

All the negativity is just stupid tbh. Except if it’s coming from someone who actually saw the show live.

i cant believe some members are judging the show when everything we saw was a bunch of colorful moving pixels  

i saw the livestream and I didn’t catch up with every performance and the storyline. I’m actually looking for some explanation. 

I don’t know what some of you guys expected. I mean she flies above the audience, there’s a robot, she interacts with a fictional character on the screen, she’s dancing and singing so well and plays piano, keytar, Emma, guitar. What do you want seriously ?

How dare you say this about Gaga? Just because you don't like what she is doing doesn't mean she is putting less effort into what she is doing.  She is one of the hardest working people I know. She added props, added new choreo, improved her vocals and added a storyline and you have the decency to say she doesn't work hard enough.

My bar, which is basically The Fame Ball and The Monster Ball 1.0 & 2.0 realness is too high? What she's already done I can't expect anymore? What kind of fairytale is that?

I'm not asking for extra stuff, I'm asking for solid, conceptually and artistically thought out performances Right now I'm seeing a bunch of choreographed numbers that aren't individually memorable and that simply aren't... exciting.

I'm in no way saying she needed to spend more money, putting on an epic show has nothing to do with that, and we've seen her do way more with way less, that's exactly why I'm sitting here like... meh. Anyway, whatever, clearly you don't agree with me but that's fine with me. I just don't get why it's not fine for others that I'm not happy I'm happy you're happy lol.

From what I saw it was great. It was like all the best bits of her tours were combined and mixed with some sauce and brought into Gaga world by un-beyonce-ing the whole thing and making it more theatrical.

Personal favourite part is her "flying" as her dancers carry her around like she's a dolphin. It was quirky and cute.

And the atmosphere in there for DITD good god.

One negative was that the stage seemed empty at some points which brings a pop show down imo. Could have had better lighting to avoid that.

But the show was amazing. And her power ranger 31st century costume.

It's not about her repeating herself It's about performing at the same... level. She used to be excellent at creating individually memorable and stylized performances that were different and unexpected and were pushing the boundaries of pop performance.

I don't see how expecting that continuously is a bad thing Hasn't she said herself she constantly wants to keep us guessing and wants to surprise us every time around? I'm not expecting her not to change, I'm expecting her to change in a way that is thrilling and exciting. If I want to stan for someone who just performs some choreographed numbers on stage with a semi-thought out storyline I can stan for just about any pop star around these days... it's not bad to expect something more elevated from Gaga, that's just my take on it.

I dont agree with your points in general, not with Enigma. For this kind of show, everything around the artist needs to work. If the artist is good, but the choreography or the lights arent, the show will refflect that. 

 

I see this like a movie. An actor can be great in a movie, but the movie can still suck.

I don’t understand how y’all let people not liking a show get to you so much. So what some fans aren’t liking enigma? Go enjoy it yourself or with others who do. At the end of the day, it’s all opinions. No use in trying to change someone’s opinion because it isnt filled with praise. 

We all have our own perception of gaga and what we expect from her. For some of us, enigma just wasn’t it. I’m glad those who do like the show are enjoying it though.

I just come here for a great conversation/discussion, I don't need us all to think the same thing and I don't wanna piss on anyone's parade. But I will give my opinion like this forum is designed to do But that doesn't mean I'm not happy so many of y'all are living for this show. Enigma is perfect for Las Vegas. It’s got the theatrics, robotics, classics and some underrated gems from her back catalogue. A bit of old and a bit of new.

It’s Win-Win for both casual fans and diehard stans. Gaga is obviously a master hustler. She doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel (a la Monster Ball) every damn time!
