First of all, people need to stop being so harsh and dragging Gaga because it wasn’t their cup of tea. She has worked really hard on this and imagine seeing that all of your fans disliked something you cared so much about. 

Next, I really think that there’s still time for everything to change a bit. It was the first show! It’s always a bit of a tester, JWT was the same. 

Overall I’m impressed, but I also always am with Gaga. 

I have some thoughts on a few things, based on what I’ve read and seen so far:

Storyline: confusing as hell, but I feel like this is something that will get a lot smoother and clearer as the show progresses. And also no one here really explained it. 

Costumes: I’m personally a big fan from what I’ve seen so far, can see why some people wouldn’t like them though. Also teal wigs!! I’m not the only one who missed them

Setlist: this is the only part I’m disappointed with... I hate to say it but I’m hoping for some change. In my opinion opening with the TF singles in order is just a bit lackluster- I’m not the biggest JD fan but whatever. It would’ve been a great opening for the GP fans though. But I also felt like the “fan favourites” weren’t really fan favs. TF and BDR? Fun because we haven’t seen them in a while but they’re also just not her best songs. Fans love MTN, Venus, Bloody Mary, DIC, G.U.Y- none of which were here. I also feel like there was just too much TF/TFM. We have so much of all those songs already (nice to hear DITD though). I’m also really disappointed that we only got two ARTPOP songs when Enigma feels so similar. Only one Joanne song I’m fine with because we just had the JWT (that’s a theme with Gaga shows, never as much from the last show/album, like ARTPOP at JWT). But oh... we did NOT need MR. Gaga I know you love your piano but there are other options... other good songs from Joanne include DIC, JW, PI. Also closing with Shallow just wasn’t the best idea imo, it takes away from Gaga too much at the end. And it is a duet, after all.

but just because the setlist wasn’t my favourite doesn’t mean I didn’t like the show. It sounds (and looks) really amazing and I wish I could go.

I agree about Million Reasons. Everyone loved John Wayne at the JWT and I feel like everyone would go crazy for DIC in Vegas. 

I feel like Gaga might have a hard time letting go of her early stuff, either that or she was forced to perform them. I feel like Poker Face and Telephone need to go. They're tired. Venus is the one song that would fit this show perfectly and it wasn't performed. 

The Aura-Scheisse-Judas segment is a pure blessing to fans though.

I LOVED it! I thought and hoped for more ARTPOP and less The Fame but she REALLY did THAT. The deep cuts, the visuals, THE TECHNOLOGY?! Mind blowing. Amazing.

I love Venus too, it contains a sample from the jazz artist Sun Ra, so maybe she is reworking it for the Jazz/Piano residency? The song's structure is so odd that I think it would work really well as a jazz song with some crazy percussion.

Set list looks excellent to me, given she's playing Vegas she is bound to play the hits/ well known songs. And TFM is a her biggest selling album. This isn't the time for new material

I don't have tickets to the show, but I'd be more than happy to see this show

Same though. I never saw BTWB and I was extremely young when I saw TFB. So BDR, TF, GH, DITD. Judas coming back was mindblowing in every good way.

To be honest I’m not into video games at all so I was afraid of the concept but at the end it turned out to be a great show! I love the meaning of enigma and I think the visuals and looks were great too, not to mention the entrance that felt like superbowl, oh my god! This woman worked so freaking hard on the residency and it shows. 

A couple of things that I don’t get though is BDR being included in the setlist but I guess that’s just me because I don’t like the song but hey, it’s still a great show.

Hope she will do some international dates  as well once the residency ends.

Just look up the intro. The backdrop went off too late, there were some difficulties before paparazzi... Yet it ended up to be one of her best tours imo (also the first and only tour I got to attend so I might be biased)

This argument never stops being tiring

Katy Perry also works very hard on her shows and that doesn't stop most LMs from calling them childish freakshows that only showcase her lack of talent

Anyway, I've only "seen" (through YouTube vids) half of the show so I'm not pinning down my opinion just yet, but yeah, just wanted to contribute my two cents about this "we can't judge her because she worked so hard" line of thought. If that's how you want to play it we can't ever judge anybody or anything, not even the Kardashians or Trump because hey, they made an effort, like no, judge the quality, that's fairest and I'm sure Gaga would agree
