At first I was thinking that Gaga and her team (especially WB) wouldn't want to risk the momentum ASIB and Shallow are having right now. Promoting two projects at the same time would overshadow them both, and it wouldn't make sense to promote one day an heavy EDM pop song and the next day sing this sad ballad song about somebody's death. But, Gaga did say she wanted to release / keep the concept etc secret and possibly surprise release it. Also her producers have been hyping LG6 for a year now, so waiting another year would make the whole record sound dated in arrival --> ARTPOP mess 2.0.
