Because, like it or not, in the whole "ordinaryGa" phase of 2014 till now she only released one original solo project, the rest were "side projects" (obviously they were huge and not side projects to her, but in the big scheme of things they are). Surely that's not enough to burn your stan card over...

But yeah, ideally you'd just pick out the stuff you like, talk about that and ignore the rest. But on a discussion forum it's obviously tempting to air out your more negative opinions as well, and find comfort in the fact that there's similar opinions out there. We'll see what happens after Enigma I guess

Let’s be honest... Gaga started having an “ordinary” persona back in 2012 when she became a brunette and started wearing t-shirts. Also how are CTC and ASIB side projects?  Especially on a musical viewpoint with ASIB since she has more original songs on it than TFM. To me a side project is like a feat on another artist’s album or a cameo in a film, not spending months writing 10+ songs and recording music for her to sing as a lead for a movie. I’m actually really curious as to what the difference between a large project and side project is to you now.

I very unambiguously noted that those projects could very well be regarded as main projects so I don't really understand why you're asking me that now, but anyway, I'm just referring to the fact that for a lot of fans, solo albums with original work are just the real main projects.

Like I said, that's very debatable, but I don't understand why you're suggesting someone should stop being a fan because they didn't like one of her acting jobs (technically that's not even a part of Lady Gaga but Stefani Germanotta just portraying somebody else, so that is not relevant for her fanbase per se) or because they didn't like a cover album of jazz standards.

At the end of the day, fans will judge her mostly on her solo work. And I don't think it's right to expect fans to check out indefinitely just because they weren't so keen on the whole country thing. She's gone for a different sound for every album, so it's natural for fans to simply stick around to see what she'll do next, musically.
