AStarIsBorn21 3,714
I genuinely don’t understand the electronic/edgy interludes which seemed very strange to represent Joanne. Visually they were kinda reminiscent of the general aesthetic, like the car interlude and how she looks in the rhino interlude, but the instrumental are so electronic and strange (I love them though). I’m just not quite sure the reason behind the edge we got from these interludes.

River 118,022
I think she couldn't resist after a long time of being a good American girl, so she just said f-ck it I'm going crazy at least for the interludes. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
elijahfan 26,486
Beyond being a show that supported the Joanne album, this was first and foremost a Lady Gaga show, and edgy electronic is her trademark. It didn't seem out of place when you think of the overall show, imo.
Stef 61,645
The Joanne tour in general was very ”un-reminiscent” of the album’s overall aesthetic. I think she wanted to put on a big show for the fans. Which isn’t bad. At times the JWT felt more like a celebration of Gaga’s career as opposed to the tour that was meant to represent the album. In saying that though, Gaga was/is definitely aware of what people expect when they come to a “Lady Gaga show”. The JWT was tamer than her previous outings, but maintained the edge of the outlandish pop star she is Signature loading… 👹🖤
Kimmo 81,120
The JWT was just a big spectacle full of Bloody Mary themes Hottie Detector
Tom Nook 37,808
Idk, I don’t think there is much to get since the John Wayne mv, and Coachella that there is always gonna be some sort of electronic edge to an era especially if it’s considered to be a “toned down” one Uh Red Wine... Sneaky Oliver 22,236
Being able to put on a show both in dive bars and arenas/stadiums used to be one of Joanne era concepts Plus the only Joanne track that comes after an interlude was John Wayne and thats pretty electronic

I agree with this entire post, but the above sentiment especially. I attended the Tampa JWT and felt it was very much a "greatest hits" kind of affair. That's by no means a bad thing. It was fantastic. One of the best live shows I've ever seen.
VoldeLorde2 8,389
My delusional mind likes to think that there was going to be a "Joanne Monster" EP after the tour, but my sane mind just thinks that that's what she wanted to do for the visuals. I still want "Trapped" interlude to leak
TEANUS 15,561
I think she planned to put out SOMETHING during the tour...first around 5F2 but then she was out, then before/ during the rescheduled European leg but then she was out again so it just got shelved. Gaga kinda seems to hint at her next direction during the current tour. Born This Way Ball she used green hair, spoke about ARTPOP a lot. At the artRave she began covering a folk, rock style song What’s Up and had C2C going at the same time, hinting at a stripped down LG5. And Coachella+JWT both had heavy electronic interludes and elements. Now she’s working with Sophie, BloodPop, and Boys Noize, all heavy electronic producers....yeah, not a coincidence British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
TimisaMonster 31,073
I kinda felt the JWT was a greatest hits tour and very "Vegas on the road" themed... The interludes I think were nods to her original theme of "art of darkness" giving very AHS visuals... Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Damon 10,904
I like to think she got quite inspired by AHS but the Joanne era aesthetic didn't really fit around the horror concept so she did a twist for the tour concept I actually see the JWT more like a greatest hits tour rather than a Joanne one though ... and now i just sit in silence.
