Imperialism  is the cause! Βig forces' (US, Russia, Europe) invovlement to third countries (see war in Syria and Yemen). Refugee crisis is the consequence of the cause!  US is the worldwide policeman spending billions of dollars for controlling countries with big resources (oil, gas) for the shake of Big Companies. Meanwile US citizens have NO free health and NO free education, and NO access to healthy FOOD (which basically means obesity, diabetes etc). THIS IS AMERICA! Profit above ppl!

I’ve visited the UK several times within the past 6 years. And I closely follow the news of several countries in Europe. I also was planning my relocation to Sweden to live with family there after I finish university, however that will not be happening anymore because due to all of this. Let’s also not be oblivious to the crime, rape, trash, and other problems that have dramatically increased since the arrival of foreigners, especially those that don’t care to assimilate. And the fact that people are being reprimanded in European countries simply for being critical of migrants or religion is completely ridiculous. Ohh but would you have “plenty of family” living here if we would’ve been closing borders sooner? It’s interesting you have this stance after you and your own are already settled in the West. Who cares about others right? 

And it also depends which news you’re closely following, seems like it’s Fox news more than anything. 

Sweden is my neighboring country, I go often there, the fact you think it’s a bad place to live due to refugees just shows you’re very much misinformed, but I’m sure it’s for the better. Most Swedes I know are actually tolerant and knowledgeable people. 

You do have to be from Europe to be able to insult Europeans like you just did, otherwise you’re just xenophobic.

Well, my family doesn’t adhere to the detrimental views that the majority of the population have back in the middle eastern region. Plus they’ve been living in Europe/US since the 1970s. Many people migrated to Europe in the 60s and 70s, and those were people were very different in mentality than the ones coming now, as they actually cared to assimilate and have a national pride. They did not think that their religious beliefs are superior to the law.

Where did I insult anyone? Seems like you’re just sensitive. I’m just bringing up facts about what has been occurring in Europe. You seemed to overlook the whole section on rampant disparities such as crime, rape, terrorist attacks, etc. Something has to be done about that, but it seems like it’s too late. What is your solution?

You are again generalizing millions of people, whole populations, I will never understand the selfishness, thinking only about your closest ones. If USA/EU fell for this type of fear mongering back then, your own family wouldn’t be able to migrate. How can you say that mentality just suddenly changed, the extremism existed since forever (on both sides!) and it was always the minority. You seem to ignore the cause, why these wars and crisis happened in first place, turning back on people fleeing war is inhumane. There were plane hijackings, assassinations, bomb and terror attacks in the 70s too, just use google. There were gang problems since 90s in Scandinavia and they still exist, but they invole white European immigrants so no one is talking about them. How come no one is talking about expelling white Europeans criminals from Western Europe and closing borders? 

You said Europe is becoming a sewer, of course you justify it by me being sensitive, but I just think it’s gross you’re talking about human beings and those are not facts. Just your own prejudice.

So tell me, what if you or your own family is attacked because of people who think like this? Do you understand that right wing racists do not attack criminals from immigrants, but anyone who looks like them? You don’t think they should be afraid? You don’t decide who should be afraid. There’s increase in hate crimes from (“natives”)-far right towards non-white people in both Europe and USA, people are verbally and physically abused and attacked just because they look different. How are you planning to solve that? Or are we back to collective punishment and victim blaming again? Is it their own fault because someone who shares their ethnicity did something bad?  History repeats itself.
