Fans always talk about the Paparazzi performance at the VMA's but this is up there as one of the best from that time period for me.

She starts off with a sweet little tribute to Alexander McQueen and you think that piano performance is all it's going to be and then the beat and the synth kicks in and she takes it to another level. :saira:

When she starts pressing the buttons… I'm I'm I'm I'm a free free free free... :firega:

And the way she poses at the end. :flutter:

It's such an iconic performance and one that seems to be overlooked.

When I watch it it transports me to that night when I watched it live on tv. I was at the height of my Gaga obsession and every time I watch it it awakens the little monster in me. :staymad:

Who else loves it as much as I do?

I prefer the Telephone performance, but I love this too

I edited the title because I also meant the Telephone part aswell. :)

Top tier Gaga performance. Top five, for sure- occasionally, I will say the top performance.

It's funny- you can tell her voice is so young and she doesn't have the tonal depth or control that she does now. But, it's the pure and undeniable emotion and stage presence and je ne sais quoi that really made this performance.

I mean, she's still got it, maybe now more than ever, but to see it from an artist so early into their debut was so exhilarating.

The atmosphere here is honestly so electric, in the most sad kind of way. I got chills then, an I still get chills now.

I agree, it's definitely top 5.

Yes, you can tell her voice is so young. When she's doing that dance and her voice gets shaky, it just goes to show how hard she's worked on improving since then. But you're right, she totally had that je ne sais quoi. That's an excellent way of putting it.

I think this performance is the epitome of what some fans miss from Gaga. I mean, it reminds me so much of the monster ball and makes me feel the same feelings when I was there to witness that. I wish I could experience that time all over again because it was so special.

You're right about the atmosphere. It gives me chills too.

Definitely one her best. She's not really doing anything truly difficult yet I can't pciture many other artists matching that.

I enjoyed this entire performance. I love how she experimented with visuals and style instead of the typical pop setup.

I remember seeing it for the first time and my wig flew to Betelgeuse when DITD started  . I was a bit disappointed she didn't perform the full song, tho :awkney: . That was also the height of my stan card :tony: .

Ew, David!
