this year was Gaga's, Ariana can't hold a candle to what Gaga did this year the film, the residency, one of the biggest singles of her career, the performance of the album, confirmed engagement, red carpets, mental health education, political outspokenness, turning around public perception about her, etc

I'm not trying to come off as anything. I'm not experienced enough with English, maybe that's why I sound kind of robotic.

"clearly" nothing about me is clear to you. I didn't mean to hurt you. did you mean to hurt me? maybe that's where that comes from. I don't know. and I didn't make assumptions about you. you did. don't be ridiculous... words can only twist things so much.

I wasn't mocking her private life. my only addition to facts was the word "absurdity". what I will admit to is I obviously intentionally presented those facts in a manner that accentuates her bad qualities. that's how you make a point. we can respect every human being without respecting every decision. my problem with miss Grande is she doesn't send the right messages. I feel empathy for her because it's harder for a person to learn from their mistakes in the spotlight where a lot of your self-preservation instincts quite often end up doing the opposite of what they're supposed to. no matter how shallow, her story is real and we need to root for her if we can relate that story to what a lot of girls her age are going through in our generation but giving her a title suggestive of her positive influence feels like a desperate ritual.

I don't know why you decided I think of you as less smart. I clearly stated all I dare assume about you and it was mostly my impression that you're conditioned to expect less from people's opinions, especially when they're negative. I basically excused your reaction to what I had to say.

Let's face it, all music awards (including this one) is irrelevant except for the Grammys; though, seeing the winners these past years, the Grammys' credibility is really getting more questionable by the minute. I'm happy for her, and I am not bitter just because Gaga didn't get this one. It's just, awards are so stupid to validate someone's artistry, especially when it's only given to pander for views and clicks.
