When her debut came out, there was a bit of a high brow-ness about it, yeah Fight For This Love was a mainstream sounding song but it was good enough to not seem like a trend hopper or just a generic pop song, and then 3 Words and Parachutes were really interesting. Then the next album came and it wasn't quite so out there, The Flood was a nice song though, and then everything that's come since just seems to be on the wrong side of pop compared to what she's capable of but idk Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yep, her first album was really special and then 2/4 really sucked. Songs like I Don't Care and Crazy Stupid Love are trash. I loved A Million Lights, though. So many bops on there. She didn't have any to start with. To be fair though, I read an article recently that said she wasn't going to sing other people's songs this time and that she's actually putting pen to paper and writing/co-writing some of them herself.
