Marina Talks Upcoming Music

Earlier today, Marina took over Clean Bandit's Instagram story to answer some questions from fans in a series of videos. Here are the highlights: 

• Marina stated she thinks her upcoming record is "[her] favorite record [she's] ever written," and that she hasn't always felt that way towards past albums.

• When asked if the album is built around a concept, Marina replied, "It kind of is, there are two themes that are running through the record, but they are very loose and very universal."

• Marina stated she has been making a lot of new music, but she didn't want to put it out "because of various reasons that [she] will explain soon."

• When asked if there is going to be a collaboration between her and Lana Del Rey, Marina replied "Not at the moment. Um, she's a very dear friend of mine, and I obviously love her music, but, y'know, maybe in the future we'll see."

• Marina said "There's nothing else really like Baby on my record, but it still fits the record really well, and once you hear it, you will completely know what I mean."

• Lastly, Marina sang a few lines from a song on her upcoming album:

New album this autumn cancelledT then I guess, but it's OK, it's better than not releasing any music at all anymore, as she was planning a couple years ago. Can't wait. These lyrics are very promising.
