Gagally 775
I saw it for the 5th time tonight. I can not believe how much much more I enjoy it each time. Any film that gets better each time you see it is excellent. The great thing is it was a 4:00 show and it was fairly crowded. You could tell the audience was into it and had not seen it before. They laughed, they groaned, they applauded. A movie for the ages!! Watch As I Dive In
Leblanc 2,478
I have too seen it 5 times There's something to be said about seeing it multiple times because you find new perspectives and appreciate it differently each time. It's weird because every time I end up seeing it I notice or find new things I like about it that I didn't see in the previous viewings. FentyGa 14,340
I saw it twice The first was amazing The second? Meh. I was starting to be like "okay, this is really long" in the scond act. Still a good movie, just not something I'll wanna rewatch more than maybe twice a ear at most.
WildAmerican 13,672
Seen it 4 times in theaters. I've been amazed by how quickly it goes by in repeat showings.

In fact last night when I saw it again, I was pondering how much I did not enjoy it in the first viewing and trying to analyze why. In fact last night when I saw it again, I was pondering how much I did not enjoy it in the first viewing and trying to analyze why. I feel this! It was so weird. I had been waiting so long up to that moment that I was a mix of emotions. I didn't even cry! I had expected to cry so much that I didn't and then I felt guilty. The screen was kind of small and the sound wasn't great so I blame that. But then my second viewing I had a bigger screen and it was epic and I actually teared up. It did feel longer the second time, but I really tried to concentrate more. Now, it seems to go so fast and I am starting to memorise the scenes in order. I love it! It's so emotional and dark but the music is incredible and Bradley & Gaga really take my breath away, I can't explain it...and I really do think it gets better the more you see it. It's already a classic.
Lumiere 5,724
Seen it five times too! Gets better every time. The final scene still gets me.
Awrah999 4,365
I just saw it my seventh time last night...and somehow I realize each time that my inattentive ass missed something in all the previous viewings. This last time I finally figured out (most of) what Bobby was saying during the WDYDT performance on SNL, but it’s still an enormous struggle because Gaga’s vocals are so distractingly flawless. I personally enjoy the movie each and every time—particularly the performances of Shallow, ARUTW, and INLA (my three favorites from the soundtrack and three of my favorite Gaga songs ever). Nothing beats seeing those songs on the big screen. And the other reason why I keep going is because I love hearing and seeing how the audience reacts to the movie each time. The first time I saw it at an early premiere a bunch of gays shouted YAAAAAASSSSS GAGA as the credits rolled but my last viewing about 70% of the audience just sat there completely shook and in tears, not leaving their seats even after the credits. I also love hearing how different audiences find different parts funny—they always seem to find the drag banter hilarious but my last audience were laughing hysterically at Jack holding Charlie as a big poofy mess. I really think it’s a fantastic movie, and as someone who works in mental health I find it so heartbreakingly relevant to so much of what is going on today. Gaga fandom aside, it is truly a masterpiece of filmmaking.
Blake 7,385
I've also seen it five times. Gets better and better with every viewing. And I know more of the words each time so I can sing/voice along.
Grimpsy 740
I've seen it 3 times and I finally realized what Jackson's pills was. It was a painkillers named Oxycondin, he takes it to help to mute his ringring sound in ears (tinnitus) but these pills cause addiction and side effects if you take them for a long time. So Jackson became addicted to them and things have really gone to sh*t. We can see it where he smashes the pill with his boot and snorts it, then goes on stage and hears a strong ringing, yep that's his tinnitus getting worse. That's what really happend in that scene, not him being high as someone might have thought

Defmix100 6,418
I've seen it 3 times so far and love hearing the new audience reactions, they're a bit different each time. And my experience of the movie is too like others say, I think the 2nd time was my favourite but for some reason the first time I had a very similar feeling to when I see her live
Glamourpuss 29,062
Reading about how it has grown on you more with each viewing is good to see. I've only seen it once. I'm planning on seeing it again soon. After the first viewing I felt like it was probably my favourite film of all time. I hope I still feel the same way after a second viewing. Gagally 775
I love what everyone is saying in this thread. Beautifully expressing my feelings: Yes, I think I had over-anticipated for my first time, totally ruining any chance I had to just enjoy it. Yes, instant classic. Yes, caught dialogue I missed the first few viewings. Yes, loved singing along. Yes, love hearing the audiences’ audible reactions. Yes, so moved by Gaga on the big screen with the big sound and picture. Yes, I am going back! Watch As I Dive In
