Hillary Clinton was First Lady, a Senator, Secretary of State, the first woman to receive a major parties nomination for the office of President of The United States, and she won the popular vote by a historic margin. She will never be forgotten, nor should she be.

Even if you don't agree with her politically, you should consider the value someone with her experience can offer our culture, rather than demand she be kept in the shadows.

This is one thing that many Americans don't realize. Starting in the 80s, American politics moved SO FAR to the right that now Democrats are basically centrists, and anyone who espouses more liberal beliefs is automatically labeled a far left loony. Also, let's not forget the "Liberals are anti-American!" propaganda that really kicked into full force with Bush Jr.'s presidency, which is ironic, considering that many conservatives openly hate a lot of American demographics. I mean, I am an American citizen in my 30s, and every day, I look at the people around me and listen to their proud ignorance and absurd beliefs, and I'm just like  .

Because I honestly don't remember Bush and the memes making Bush seem like a funny old man is revolting.
He destroyed so many lives. I'll always remember the homophobia of that administration though.

I think many people look back on the Bush Jr. years fondly because the current Twitler in Chief is just so astoundingly awful, but Bush was a bumbling idiot for all 8 years of his presidency while **** Cheney (I LOL'd at his name being censored ), who is literally the walking manifestation of evil, was pulling all the strings behind the scenes. Obama wasn't perfect, but it was SO NICE to have 8 years of a presidency that was scandal free (with the exception of bizarre conspiracy theories made up by conservatives) with a first family that carried themselves with such honor and grace.

I cringe so hard when I hear right wing trolls say "liberal far-leftist" - that's literally an oxymoron . Liberals tend to be center/center-left and Democrats are honestly pretty centrist. Right wingers cry about how Democrats have gone farther left and I'm like "where? because we support gays now?"

People saying "liberal communists" is even funnier. Like girl, I wish someone were a tenth of that level of leftist in the DNC.

Let's thank Reagan for this mess. Sometimes it feels like there's this sudden right wing wave coming in this decade but it's been going on for a while. I wish my generation would understand that short term economic gain in exchange for stability and socioeconomic mobility isn't desirable.

I didn't take this as her leaving the door open at all. She said no, but said she'd like to be president. We knew the latter half of that statement, but operatively, she doesn't want to go through the campaigning which you need to become president. So this isn't her playing people.
